hi
.... our 13 year old son is coming with us will he enjoy it
Oh yes he will!!!!He'll enjoy the big pool at the Tria Adelphia and when he feels too hot he can pop into the dining/bar area to cool off and watch tv...giving you and hubby five minutes peace and quiet!
You will enjoy staying there, they are a lovely family who will make you most welcome and look after you all very well. You must try Helen's stifado..it's the best in Arillas! :-)
Opposite the Tria Adelphia is a little kiosk which sells juice, crisps, water etc but last year they started renting out mountain bikes...it may be a tad hot for that but it's always an option for an early morning whizz around Arillas.
The beach is only a pleasant 10 minutes walk away where you will find watersports available http://www.arillas.com/page/en/mtree/business/arillas-water-sports/details/
The Mirage bar/restaurant which overlooks the beach is another favourite for families. Mum and dads can relax on a lounger by the pool...that is until junior pesters dad for a game on the pool table. ;-) All the facilities are free to use providing drinks or food is purchased.
The Malibu bar (karaoke most nights) has an arcade games room and Internet access. In the evenings teens enjoy the freedom in gathering there whilst parents relax with a drink in the bar...or next door in the Coconut Bar.
In July the two bars offer live entertainment, the magic show is excellent and is suitable for children and grown ups!
You might want to take a look at the map here to get your bearings... http://www.arillas.com/map/
So not only will your son enjoy it...you will
all enjoy it and no doubt will be back next year!!!
Eileen.
eileen you've done it again!! are you sure you're not a travel advisor??? well done
ger x
LOL...Ger not a travel advisor I just love trying to help people get the most from their visit to Arillas....you can probably guess I've just got too much time on my hands! Anything to divert myself from what I should be doing ;-)

thanks for the info really looking forward to it now cant wait, this website is brilliant
Hi mds - I first joined this website in 2007 when we were only just thinking of visiting Arillas but not too sure. It had been recommended by good friends who'd been back time and time again and we couldn't understand why. As far as we were concerned one visit was OK - more than that was not necessary as we'd too many places to see.
We enjoyed ourselves so much that we did indeed go back again - the place is beautiful, the people are genuinely nice and friendly - and we're going for two weeks in May this year and again at the end of September/beginning of October.
Eileen has described things really well for you - she's a star!

Welcome mds. Our Eileen has said it all - bless her. Arillas is addictive. All of us that you regularly read on here are smitten and keep going back. Tria is a great choice - you will be warmly welcomed by Philip and Eleni, and I can report it is the favourite of many. Great pool. We have eaten well there several times, mostly with friends staying there. It is near the edge of the village, so quieter than other places, but nowhere is far in Arillas so you can easily get to everything.
We are also there in July - 12th to 26th. Older and dodderier (that's Phil and Jen in order....) we are staying at Brouklis right in the middle. If we overlap, please don't hesitate to come up to us and say hello. We can't be missed. Jen's Glastonbury waist length hair waddling along with grey smiling old man in tow.....
You will love Arillas and be back.
Phil
Hello mds.
First time in Arillas and staying at the Tria.
You have chosen well agood place to stay fantastic pool good food
and hosts that will make you feel special.
We are in Arillas from July 5th -19th we are certain to call in at the Tria to say hello to Philip and his family, if you see us then dont be shy in saying hello.
You will have a Fabulous time......by the way it wont be your last visit once you have tasted the magic of Arillas you will be back for more.
John & Dot
mds luvvers, everyting John has said is true. Come up and say hello. That's all we ever did with John and Dot, but we ended up being close friends. Join in the Arillas magic. Open your eyes and open your hearts. Smile at people, they will smile back. It is a place for all that.
Phil
And BTW, John and Dot are the most lovely wonderful people you could meet. But they are the same as most who live there or go there.
Phil
You've probably gathered by now - we all love Arillas and its people!
The friendliness of its people also rubs off on its visitors - you may be walking along, admiring the scenery and someone will walk by and either stop and speak or smile and say hello

I was chuckling to myself when I read the topic thread. 'our first time in arillas'. There is nothing that wets our posting appetites quite like when a newbie joins up! (me included!)
Ha ha Jo - you're SO right!

Hi mds,
As everyone has said, you couldn't have picked a better destination than Arillas, and in my opinion, you've picked a fabulous plase to stay at Tria.
We've stayed at Tria many times and will be there again end July, beginning of August.
Phil and Helen are wonderful hosts and nothing is too much trouble for them. The pool is fab, and the general atmosphere at Tria is very friendly.
Nothing in Arillas is very far, and the restaurants are a pleasant stroll in the evening sunshine away.
I hope you find Arillas as addictive as we all do. Arillas isn't a place that you only visit once!
You'll get hooked like the rest of us!!It's 22 years since our first holiday in Arillas and we still enjoy visiting the area.Sure you will have a fabby time.
