Just booked for October. Flying from Bournemouth on the 6th (£59 including tax, luggage and a meal) and £55 back to Gatwick on the 14th so I'm very happy with those prices. The return flight to Bournemouth was going to be £220 just for one way!

Just to say that on seeing your announcement on Easyjet opening the schedule for October I went straight on and booked two return tickets from Manchester going out 02/Oct and returning 20 Oct for £173 in total including luggage etc..  However I went back on ten minutes later to book for my daughter and husband and the price had risen by £25 !! just goes to show the early bird really does get the worm.. On a slightly different not another thing that amuses me is when maybe three months after I have booked I get an email alert to an Easyjet promotion saying flights now 50% off.  I then go on and look at the dates I had booked 3 months before and see that their 50% off price is actually 4 times dearer than I paid.  50% off what ?????

JohnJ - I'm toying with the idea of Sept/Oct - I can book two returns from Manchester 24th Sept to 9th Oct for £196.88 inc luggage.
Just thinking about accommodation now - but should I book the flights first, do you reckon?

Janis,

Book your flights first, finding accommodation won't be a problem.

27th September - 9th October
Should I look for accommodation now or would it be OK to look around in May ??

Advice, please!

Well done Janis :-) :-) :-)

It'll be fine to leave it until May to book your accommodation...it will give you plenty of time to decide on where you really want to stay.

See you there then Janis!

John - I've had similar issues with EJ before....their so called "sale" is a complete nonsense!

Hi Janis,
Sorry not to have responded to your query about booking flights before accommodation but I have not had time to log on in the last couple of days.  Glad to see you have now booked.  If we are traveling any time in May,  early June, late September or October I always book flights first as there is always plenty of accommodation and as we have all said before Easyjet flights can go up in a matter of minutes... I think they must have a computer analysis that not only analyses bookings but enquiries as well because I have gone on in the past made an enquiry for prices , then gone back to book it literally 5 or 10 minutes late to find they have gone up.  I suspect they are getting very clever at identifying supply and potential demand!!!!

Thank you John - I got a great deal on the flights - had to pay a couple of pounds extra to use Visa debit card but still a great deal.
Never used EJ before so this will be a new experience!

Hi Janis,
We have used Easyjet for the last few years and apart from one 5 hour delay we have had no problems, in fact apart from that one incident they have always left on time landed on or ahead of time and the planes and staff have been fine.  Hope I haven't  jinxed us all now!!!!
