No.
Quite honestly I don't think it matters much who they are. You can gather so much information from our Arillas hosts and fellow visitors probably better than the reps. Car hire, taxis and trips all bookable locally. The only time you might need a rep is perhaps in an emergency (if you can get hold of one) and to find out the time of your pick up for the flight home. As you may gather I have not met many good reps but quite a lot of useless ones.
Paul C - I'd strongly agree! Last time we travelled on a package, the only activity from the rep was to stop chewing her gum for long enough to point us towards the right coach at the airport, and to chalk up our departure time at the accommodation..... oh, and to make sure we all stood in line in the baking sun at the airport on the homeward trip. In Arillas EVERY night is a Greek Night, so there's no need to fork out for the tour company's version of reality!
I'm sure the Reps get great pleasure making us stand in those long queues on our return trip at Corfu airport, nothing worse on a red hot day. With doing everything independently I used to have a bit of an argument with some of them, we never used their services yet they wanted us to stand in amongst their tourists - no way. Unfortunatly the way the airport is now laid out we don't have a choice. Think the only time we have used a Rep was on our first visit many years ago.
The first time we went to Arillas teh rep was really good, and then last year we went again, and the rep was so bad it was a joke to see them in Arillas.
REP, Representative
I can do that job myself
But you dont need one in Arillas
The locals are happy to help when you need it
