Title: Kaloudis 09
Post by: june on November 26, 2008, 02:09:46 PM
Hi all

I have a week booked in a 2 bed studio for next June but my sister's looking for one for 2 weeks in May or June and only 2 and 3 bed apartments are showing. It's seems strange that all the studios can be booked already. We wondered if a re-furb or something was going on or if more studios will be released at a later date. Any ideas?

June

Hi there

When we were there in July this year, Billy told us that he was already booked up.  But we managed to book two studios for 2009 and we didn't book until September.

Maybe if you keep trying you might come up with something.

Hi Folk
Very interesting about the bookings for the Kaloudis Village.  Have been trying to book an 18 day or 3 week break in September 2009 with Thomsons.  Only offers are for trips via Athens at enormous expense (around £1500 per person).  So have settled for two weeks at around £450 each (including taxi transfer).
Hooray - will not miss our annual dose of Arillas tonic!
Best wishes
PJ

What you could do is book an indenpendent flight and not use one of your thomson ones and Email Roula to see if she can let you book a week independently. It might be a cheaper way of getting another week!

Thanks for that idea Annie.  Think the moral of the tale is to book good and early.  Certainly the Kaloudis Holiday Village/Splish Splash is one of the most popular places to stay in Arillas judging by the difficulty people have in getting in.  We certainly enjoyed our stay there in 2008.
Best wishes

I could do that kevin... would prefer a studio in Kaloudis though.

But I can stay anywhere in Arillas, from sea front to up the hill, from Bardis to Kaloudis, from Tria Adelphia to Brouklis, ah - it doesn't matter to Jen and me. As long as we are there.

Oh yes - Kaloudis 2009. Or anywhere there to be truthful.

riggers mate, I might yet be in that tent on the beach. Have to admit, I've done that before in other parts of the world ... Bit too old these days I s'pose, but who knows! Has one advantage - after our session in the Nut, I can stumble down to the sea and collapse in the canvas without Jen having to carry me home!

Love to Sue too. You know you did well booking so early - just enjoy!

Phil

Ha Ha lynn - it was mine. It disappeared! I spent ages composing my post and forgot to save it in notepad. My fault - I know how to deal with it but have had a few voddies tonight....

riggers, sue, lynn, colin, sandy we are in bits over June. Can you survive without PhilandJen? Of course you can. But we so wish we could make it bigger and better.... We love the idea of doll's houses!

I have a big tear in my eye over your post John, we will miss you just as much. I tell you what, if we can we will be there. See you in the Nut...

love to all of yous
Jen and phil

Jan and me will be at the Kaloudis from 11th Sep for 2 weeks. This is our first trip to Arillas but by the comments on here we will enjoy our stay. Booked with Thomson last October flying from Doncaster.
Flying out to Rhodes (Pefkos) this Wednesday (13th May) for a couple of weeks. This will be our 3rd time in Pefkos. Normally we don't go to the same place as there are so many great places to visit in Greece but we just fell in love with Pefkos.  Wonder if we will like Arillas as much.

We must have pretty similar tastes because we enjoyed Pefkos and would love to go back...the only thing that stops us is we always want to go to Arillas!

I'm sure you're going to fall in love with Arillas as much as we did.  (http://www.easyfreesmileys.com/smileys/free-love-smileys-879.gif) (http://www.easyfreesmileys.com/)

Hi Rothers
Think you will enjoy Arillas.  Like you we enjoy visiting other Greek Islands and we are off to Crete in June.  However Arillas calls and we may well see you in September as we too fly from Doncaster (on 14th).
Just to whet your appetite here's a pic. taken last year at the entrance to Kaloudis Village

Hi PJ
we have so many photos taken by the side of the Kaloudis sign, one every year I think. LOL.  We too fly from Doncaster but on 26 June, so just to clarify, we have 45 sleeps to go, wayaaay.
