Well all good things come to an end.
The season may now be almost over and Arillas will be winding down.
Our bit of heaven will remain in our thoughts and our hearts during the winter.
Memories of another summer will be recalled during the winter months.
New friends we have made and old friends we have re-acquainted with,
The thoughts and memories will bring a warm glow during the dark nights.
Stories we can recall, Sandy's table, Phil's Liver, Darts in the Rainbow My flip-flops,
All the events that have made Arillas so special to us all this summer
Sunrise's and Sunsets, those special summer evenings, lazy days on the beach
.
There will still be up dates on Arillas Today as Eggy strives to keep us all informed of happenings that will surely be taking place between now and next May.
Our thanks must be passed on to Eggy for all his reports and his pictures that keep our memories fresh and our eagerness to return burning strong.
We will all be looking forward to our return in 2009 and the opportunity of again meeting up with old friends and new.
Until then we will have our little bit of Arillas with us at our fingertips and we have Dimitris to thank for that.
The forum is a fine place to be in the winter months.
It is a place where we can keep in touch with each other, a place where we can let each other know of our good and sometimes bad news. It's a good place to be when you're not in Arillas
So till next summer..........
Should auld acquaintance be forgot, And never brought to mind
Should auld acquaintance be forgot, And days of auld lang syne
And days of auld lang syne, my dear, And days of auld lang syne
Should auld acquaintance be forgot, And days of auld lang syne
Seasons end, we still have the memories
Well said JohntheRef&Dot....my sentiments exactly and I'm sure that's how a lot of us are feeling....a big thank you again to Dimitris and everyone in Arillas who has made all our holidays so special this season.....yammas
We are certainly feeling that way Sandy John and Dot. We have had so much fun, laughter, affection and joy with all the locals, our forum friends and tourists we have met. Many of our experiences are unforgettable and though I've said it before, it is US, the people of Arillas, who make it what it is.
Jen and I also extend a special thank you to Dimitris and Eggy for all the hard work they put in on our behalves. What would we do without them?
We hope to be back for a very long time next June. Maybe easter for a short one as well. Fingers crossed...
Phil

Hi, Johntheref and Dot. You`ve echoed what, I think, a lot of people will be thinking. The memories will never fade(well only slightly). We are fortunate to be able to keep in touch via this forum, and as many members have said, thanks Dimitris. The winter will soon fly past and then it`s off to you know where once again.
Best Wishes Paul D
