Hi All
im new here and off to Arillas tomorrow, flying out on Norwich,
Lost our holiday a few weeks back because of XL and Kosmar going bust,
decided to book another holiday so we got this one out of our local airport.
have not got a clue as to what to expect in corfu.
we have been going to Pefkos in Rhodes for the last 8 years, so a change was long over due,
i have heard the weather is not supposed to be brill this weekend then get better, oh well 4 days of sun will do,
going to book a car to do a bit of sight seeing at the weekend,
i have read eateries are excellent in arillas, my wife loves fish, i cant stand it unless its caught on my rod, then i throw it back..lol
better go finish the packing
Haydn
If you like fish then Efithias (cant spelt it... Efi for short) her mum cooks a brilliant sea bream - all covered in herbs.... really lovely! Its the restaurant right at the end of the beach before the cliff walk.. fabulous views from there too and very quiet. Her Skordalia is really tasty too.
If you mention a Chefs Salad she will probably remember who tried to order it last week! Mike went mad over her mums spinach pies instead.
Have a great time!
Have a great time - I'm sure you will. May see you there....
will do sandy.
just look out for the bald guy with newcastle tattoos on arm, oh and normally wearing something to do with them as well
Haydn
I hope that you have a great time, Haydn, wherever you stay in Arillas, the walk home from the beach will be a breeze - unlike that hill in Pefkos!! I've only been to Pefkos once but have been back to Arillas four times now. I think you will enjoy it
thanks cheryl
we are staying at the mathraki, sounds nice,
hope the weather holds out.
oh yes that dreaded hill in pefkos, wont miss it one bit.
You will have a fantastic time.We also fly out of Norwich as it is our local airport too.Dreadful what happened in the city at the weekend. We were near there about an hour earlier.
a bit to close to home, this is the second time we have flown out of norwich,
it will be nice to get away from it all, being a firefighter i need the rest
The Mathraki is very nice, we returned from there last Friday, you will be awoken by the sound of chickens and by the turkeys accross the road!
Arillas, well there is nothing not to love, amazing laid back beautiful place with the friendliest people you could ever hope to find. The food in the tavernas is superb, have never had a bad meal, and the whole atmosphere is food for the soul! Enjoy.
Georgia.
Food for the soul....I like that phrase and it sums Arillas up totally. I'm feeling very hungry...
So are we Sandy - and we've only been back a few days. Have a great time out there and have one for us....
Phil and Jen
Norwich is a great little airport so long as here aren't any delays, then it is awful.Whereabouts in Norwich are you from. There are one or two of us from Norwich on the forum and many more that go to Arillas. Will look out for the aircraft this afternoon wishing I was on it too.Let us know how you get on.
HI Lisa
that was the reason we have not flown out of norwich since, delay was awful last time, i said never again, but here we go this afternoon.
im actually out in little old Loddon, take it you know it?????
