Hi Gem.
Yes as Keith says it is family run. Sea front location (20metres). This place is absolutely spotlessly clean. Fantastic pool, onsite supermarket, oh i could go on (no comments please).
Hope you enjoy.

I cannot give you a direct link to it on arillas.com
because I cannot see the map here at work!.
You can find the Kaloudis by walkig along seafront past portofino. When the road runs out you turn right the advertising says Splish splash and walk the 20 yards up the slope. The supermarket is on your right. Hope this helps
My tickets arrived this morning in a smart pocket guide book - must be a new thing for Thomsons.
It says we are staying in the Kaloudis Studios 2.

Hope you have a lovely time.

We have just returned from our second stay at Kaloudis. I would say that the accommodation is very basic. The cooking facilities are rather rudimentary and you will need to take things like soap, washing up liquid and sponge, clothes pegs, toilet roll and MOSQUITO REPELLENT (my husband has had to visit our local hospital this morning because of an infected bite). I guess that I have been spoilt by holidaying in self catering in the UK where the standard is very much higher.
On the plus side, the people are very friendly and helpful. It has the best pool area in Arillas and the location is brilliant.
We had a great holiday although the weather was somewhat cooler than last year and I found Arillas rather subdued this year due to the credit crunch.
Hi Holly.
You must have been there at the same time as us. We came came home on Tuesday.
We stayed above the shop.

To be honest, in any self catering I have been in Spain or Greece, I would not expect pegs, soap, washing liquid etc. Only a supply a toilet rolls upon arrival. I am taking bacon over and some other small bits incl pegs.
I am even taking a travel kettle too.
As long as its clean and has the minimum of items such as cups, plates, frying pan etc, I will be quite happy.

We just buy everything when we get there - including bacon. It can work out cheaper, and of course, it leaves more room in the case.
We will be staying at the Kaloudis next May and to be honest we are not too bothered about the standard of equipment as the food is so good in the restaurants we always eat out. We are going for the ambience and sheer joy of being back in Arillas :)
I even take a toaster!!! Every year i say i will leave it behind but always manage to find room for it. The toaster has now had many foreign holidays including 4 to Arilas.
I wish I had thought to take a toaster. Actually I don't cook on holiday either. I agree that the local tavernas are excellent. Our favourite by a long way is Kostas on the beach.
Riggers - we were there from Friday 19th to Friday 26th Sept. We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment down at the bottom as we had our 8 year old daughter with us. You missed the bad weather on Wednesday - it was really miserable. If you were above the shop you must have been near Earl and Karen.
Hi Holly.
Yes i think we was next door to your friends. Was you and your daughter the ones playing with the white cat, wouldn't come to me. Ha Ha don't know why.

As we eat out all the time on holiday, a toaster is just handy for a snack. Paul thinks i'm mad and sighs every year when the toaster is packed. I normally have to get it in Nikki bag as never any room in mine!!!! i put it amonst her 15 pairs of shoes one for everyday!!!! her bag is massive

Yes we are the cat lovers. We had a meal at Brouklis one night and my daughterwas in 7th heaven - three cats and five kittens running around the place.
Can I just check that these studios do have the basics such as a toaster and frying pan?
Lisa
No toaster but a grill.Pretty sure there was a frying pan.
I managed to buy a small toaster from Argos which fits very nicely in my case and only cost £3.50, I'm sure it will come in useful when we travel in 2 weeks time and also on other trips too. Lets face it, when there are toaster facilities, some of them are abit gruby.
Lisa
Hi huge*abba*fan
Most places Ive stayed in Arillas have always had a toaster and I have never found them "grubby". Taking a toaster on holiday, I just cant get it round my head, why bother!! If theres no toaster, then dont have toast. substitute it with something else. Everyone to there own..... I suppose
Gata
I am obviously not the only one to take one on holiday, so like you say, each to their own.
Lisa
I took one of those "flat type" toasting things one time, one you can use when camping.. used it once and have never taken it since. You can buy toasted bread there, a bit like rusks out there and they make a nice change.
We are staying at Kaloudis and have just been to Tesco and seen a toaster for £3.47 so I thought - what the hell I will take it with me and if I dont have room for it I will just leave it. Someone mentioned they are taking a kettle - are they not supplied at Kaloudis Studios - or shall I pack one too. I am not bothered about pans etc as I never cook - the food in Arillas is great. Anne
If they dont have a kettle (which they should do) you can always boil water in a small pan on the hotplate which doesnt take long.
