Post by: jersey steve on August 18, 2008, 01:54:44 PM
I Just want to warn you all about buying the pirate dvd's.
I didn't purchase any but my kids did and when we got home they don't work.
I am not surprised but just wanted to warn other people/children not to waste there money.

Hi Steve,

Sorry to hear that - your kids must have been pretty disappointed.
We (well Christian) bought about half a dozen when we were over in May & they were all pretty good - a couple had greek subtitles on them - but you could chose to see that in a positive light & say it was educational :-)
There were several guys selling them when we were around so it could be that some are perhaps less circumspect than others?
Anyway, it wasn't very nice for your children - I do sympathise.

I doubt I would buy for myself, I think I'd leave it to Christian as he can be a mean 'haggler' when the occasion demands it!

WE got ours off a black guy who came to our apts.  Luckily we had bought a portable DVD with us for the kids so told him we would buy one (only 5E) and if that was ok we would get some more.  Not exactly Pearl & Dean but they kept the kids amused and worked ok.  Even got Mama Mia! Was particularly funny when we saw someone go to the toilet on the screen in front of where they were obviously filming.  Haha. Anyway, better shut up before the poilice turn up :-(

This post has nothing to do with DVD's but if anyone has a Nintendo DS and they would like more games please PM me. You can also view DVD's, photos, and MP3's on a DS. It is also possibe to use it as a browser which could be very useful in Arillas.
