Title: Need to spend a penny?
Post by: england on June 18, 2008, 03:21:08 PM
Our daughter who is two years old has decided that she's ready for toilet training. It's slow going at the moment but we're expecting her to be fully trained by August when we go to Arillas. However what I'm not sure on is how we're going to cope on the beach when she needs to go. Where's the best place and would they be ok with letting us use the facilities?

Hi England

Most of the tavernas on the sea front have toilets, and I am sure they won't mind you using them.

They are really nice people over there, and you can even pee free. LOL

Thanks Amanda,

Was hoping that was the case. But you know what kids are like they want to go to every toilet to see what it's like.

Hi England

My daughter was three when we first took her to Arillas and yes, she wanted to see every toilet and try em out.

Just be aware that they don't throw loo paper down the toilets in Corfu, you have to use a bin by the side of the toilet, so you can guess some of the toilets are not as hygienic as here.

I agree but we've been trying for the past 7 weeks (well it will be in August) to get her to use the toilet. LOL

Hi England, Our Grand Daughter's at the same stage it's taken a long time to make her feel secure on the toilet. She started nursery yesturday and when they tried to sit her on the potty she screamed the place down for the toilet, Kiddie's. Anyway hopefully thats it now she will want to go to the toilet each time and as you know they dont tell you long before hand so I would stop on a bit of beech in front of  a tervena that you know where it is. LOL. Viv

So every 15 mins if we see you trekking up the beach we shall know where you and your little one are going.  I remember doing that with our youngest, she is 23 now!  We never sat down for long before we were off again looking for the loo!  There's loos everywhere and you shouldnt have a problem using them.
