hi
just booked 2 weeks in Arillas in August, spent weeks looking for what we like and this resort seemed to tick all the boxes
been to Aghio Gordios in Corfu and loved that
the resort does not look to commercialised is that right?
any recommendations on bars and restaurant would be appreciated.
how reliable is the Atm been lucky so far in Greece never had one not working lol
Hi danna,,,
lucky you....14 whole days - we have just returned and the atm is ok ..just make sure you inform your bank (if you are using a debit card)...that you will be going abroad...(we forgot and had to use a credit card instead) as for tavernas there are plenty of reviews already on the forum..and tastes to suit everyone...you won`t be dissapointed.....

Hi Danna and welcome!
I echo all Kes has said - you'll find answers to all the questions you could ever ask on here and you'll love Arillas, it's totally perfect.
Welcome from phil and jen. Sadly we'll miss you - we're out in July and September, so can't give you a guided tour! you won't need one though. Go with the flow - everyone will help you. Just say kalimera...
Look at the interactive map on here. See a name or a place, and ask the forum. Some of us will have been to all of them. We all have our favourites. Commercialised like most of Spain it isn't, but it is not like my early holidays in UK - a caravan in a ten acre field. If you liked Agios Georgios you'll love Arillas. Jen and me have given up the boxes - too many ticks!
best wishes
Phil
thanks for the replies,
will have a good look thro forum for restaurant/bar reviews
also see if i can find any info on apts we have booked.
also thanks for the advice on telling the bank you will be using debit card abroad, have heard a lot about people having problems using them abroad this past 6 months
Hi Danna, you will enjoy Arillas. We went the first time a couple of years ago because we couldnt book where we stayed previously in Agios Gordios. We had a brilliant, really relaxing time there and wanted to go back but stumbled across Arillas and are going again this year, 3rd year running. It is quieter than Agios Gordios I think (because it doesnt have the Pink Palace nearby with the students) and some charm about it that we all seem to love. So, if you liked Ag. Gordios I think you will love Arillas!
