Hi folks has anyone noticed espeacialy in the early morning a smell of like pepper in the air 'im sure its from some kind of plant does anyone know what it is ?

Hiya Tony , I think the smell you're talking about is the resin in the tree's.
We get a similar scent from a couple of our coniferous tree's here in our garden.
Also noticed it in Turkey and the former Yugoslavia.
Lovely whiff !

Cheers Barry wasnt sure if it was the whiff of the night before BBQs or not lol,drumstick or BBQd pork chop anyone ;-)

Hi Tony,

I've always put that smell down to olive trees. First visit to Greece (Rhodes) 1980 we got off the plane and the smell hit me like a "ton 'o' bricks". I have never forgotten that smell - every time we land in Corfu that smell means coming home.
