I had another crazy idea this morning that could be fun when we visit Arillas. It could be called "We are Here"
Basically its just getting a picture of ourselves on the webcam. Many of us look at the webcam throughout the day so when people are in Arillas we need to capture the picture that includes a "person". I don't know if anyone would be recognisable, but maybe Eggy or Dimitris or even Sandy in 2 weeks time could test it.

There are two ways to capture the picture. One would be by saving an image from the "Last 12 Shots Today" or by using a screen capture program like Snagit.
If anyone wants to use Snagit please PM me.
I will probably cheat by standing on the deck and then phone my son or daughter or someone at work and ask them to save the picture.
I think it could be quite exciting, through the summer months, to see images of fellow forum members, whilst they are in Arillas. Best be holding a glass of Mythos at the same time or even a Banner saying something like " I am here and you are at Work"
I'm game Terry! But I will have a hard time trying to persuade Heidi to keep her hands up for any amount of time as she will moan about spilling her drink ;)
What a good idea terry my husband flys out this friday so maybe whens hes on the phone to me I should get him to stand in the right spot, at least then I will be able to see him and talk to him. Hes going for a week to check the progress of our house which we're moving into in sept I will miss him but you never know by the end of the week he might get the right place to stand in. x
Lou
Pack a banner for him - "I love Lou" on it.
EEG
Tell Heidi to hold the glass vertically above her open mouth.
Lou
Wouldn't mind a chat with your hub when he's here. If ok I can PM you a good contact phone number
Terry - Good idea as long as we all remember to do it. The number f times I've driven into Arillas with a mental note to wave at the webcam.
and then........ Ouzo, rabbit, ouzo rabbit, rabbit - Gone from head!
Negg
We have always stopped and had a wave, either on the jetty or on the road... you never know... the people in the horizon must think we are bonkers!
LOL Bg, i could just picture that!

I think Bg is right,
Imagine you are having your nice drink on the top of the terrace bar with your other half, watching the sea, the sky and the world go by...
Then a fiew people come in front of you with their banners etc spoiling your atmosphere.
The best spot that can be totally neutral I think is the pier of Arillas.
But even there the donut man might be disturbed!!!!
Dimitris
The mention of the Banners was just a bit tongue in cheek as we say in the UK.
I saw quite a few people wave at the webcam from the deck last year and everyone just thought it was good fun. The only time it gets busy on there is about an hour before sunset, and there are never many people on there in the day time because it is too hot.
Hi Terry don't worry wasn't going to pack a banner lol does anyone now the timing of the web cam how often or when it refreshes? x
Every 10 seconds Lou.
This red car has been parked for a long time. It a Pug?

Hi All!
Is it just me or has the webcam been 'down' since 10th. I keep getting a blue screen with computer jargon where the image should be. Missing my daily 'fix'.
Martin.
Due to maintenance the power has been cut off at the top floor of the horizon hotel,
that;s why the blue screens etc. If I find some time today I ll pop down with an extension and reconnect the cam .
Sorry for the inconvenience....
Dimitris
No need to apologise Dimitris and thank you for the explanation. Looking forward to looking at the webcam again :)

All back and running as normal again. Only 19 days to go before I am in Arillas! Can't wait to get there. Looking forward to my evening meal at Brouklis on 2nd. May and a long chat with you.

Martin.
