Title: Pizzeria
Post by: Jo Wissett on April 08, 2008, 01:20:19 PM
eggy, are there any whispers (pun not intended!) about the Pizzeria opening this year? I know that its all connected to Whispers so don't hold out much hope! Its a shame because It was always nice there if you fancied a bit of a change.

No change at all. Looks like it will stay shut although there were a few small "whispers" about it being opened as shops etc. Nothing really definite.

Cheers

You have hit the preverbial nail on the head. Somewhere for you ladies, and probably a few men, to go somewhere and be pampered after a strenuos 3/4 hours on the beach. - get your nails manicured etc - and that's only the men!

Come Come Girls...we all know that there are many ladies who have their nails done just for high days and holidays, so during a 2 week holiday those fab nails can get a bit of a hard time with all the swimming, digging sand castles, cooking breakfasts, holiday romance(giving the old man a nice back scratch or massage) etc etc, a nail doctor would be an asset in times of need to maintain those beautifull hands..especially whilst picking up a glass or two.
I for one would pay a visit(okay I do go to my nail doctor every cpl of weeks, mine are my own but just need that bit of acrylic to keep them strong and looking good)
And I may know of an absolute Gem of a lady that would be able to help.

I think the hairdressers would be just for Eggy and the rest will have to make do with the coconut .

There must be some hairdressers out there who would love to open up a salon for the season surely?  I wouldnt mind a pt job on reception or sweeping up.

We were also hoping the Pizzeria would be open again.  Any news on the Arillas Inn? I did ask before but never heard anything

If you like pizza on holiday I know I do, Town Pizza in San Stef does some amazing pizza's and they even deliver. Its always full off locals which must be a good sign and is a godsend when it opens during Winter weekends.

Its only a 15-20 minute walk from Whispers.

I'm a hairdresser, and I can't think of anything worse than spending my summer in Arillas, in a hot hairdressing salon. I'd rather be on the beach!
(Imight change my mind if I had some nice handsome Greek men coming in for haircuts tho!) lol.

I was thinking more of living out there during the season and doing part time work, catching up with people and nattering, its has got to be more interesting than bar work.... and you would get the evenings off too.

We would love to 'retire' to Arillas, and would not discount doing part time work, i'm just not convinced that hairdressing would be it. I love hairdressing, but on a hot day, I'm not so keen. I think lots of them in Corfu work in evenings instead of afternoons, but  I definitely don't fancy that either.

Oh well!   perhaps the best thing is not to work out there at all ... I cant really think of an ideal job out there (definatley not working in a pizza kitchen all the time, that would be exretmely hot) unless it is a lifeguard but I would be no good as I cant swim.  I wouldnt mind sitting up there with a pair of binoculars though.
