Hi. Not sure of any details, but someone I know did some scuba diving, and got a certificate. I don`t think it would have been too far away.

There's a chap who goes to the Tria once a week ( - Thursdays, I think) , gives demonstrations and lets you have a try in the pool. He then takes bookings from anyone who wants a trial lesson (- in the sea). Highly recommended from those who did it.

Blondgirl, do you mean Agios Gordios or Agios Georgios(San George)!
I only know the scuba diving in Agios Georgios from Angelos and,...
Ui, Spiros or Nikos, Hmmm I think Nikos.
I went there 2 times, was very nice!
I hope to do that this year again :)

It was Agios Gordios.  We used to sit on the beach and watch them piling into the dingy with all their gear and they would disappear for the day, that was one end of the beach and the other was the Pink Palace where all the students would stay and that was very entertaining to watch when they would all get on a boat for a day out  It was funny watching as they had to wade out to the boat with their bags on their heads and climb up & then  try and do it in reverse coming back and with the alcohol they had all day it made  great entertainment espeically if the waves were strong!  A lot of shrieking and laughing was going on.

Anyway, nothing to do with scuba diving but it was def. Ag. Gordios

I did my Padi Open Water at the Sidari shop. last year went back to do my advanced open water, but Alex seemed to be far more interested in the Italians he had on board, taking me down to 30 meters with out any refresher course, put me off a little but now ready to get back in the saddle

Oh I don't know how you do it.  Attempted it one year in Malta.  Had all the gear on and they sat us in the shallows and put the breathing apparatus on and put our heads under water.  No way, I said, cant do it.  I cant breathe now thinking about it!  Would love to be able to, you must see fantastic sights.

This is in Agios Georgios, just the next bay along from Arillas. Vasillis is very good. I did my open water with him a couple of summers ago.
