Having traveled extensively to many destinations throughout Europe, I must say Arillas is the only place that I have been to that I really felt 'at home'.
The friendliness of the hardworking hoteliers, shop keepers and residents is such that they soon become friends, and combined with the other holidaymakers add to the gregarious ambiance.
There is total tranquility if you want it, peace and freedom whilst walking, interesting wild life and stunning scenery to photograph. There are welcoming tavernas with hospitality second to none, and a great website to keep us all in touch.

It's great to be able to 'travel' back to Arillas and view the webcam and look at the sunset from a dark grey Britain, and to keep up with the news and views of other members.
I have seen the phrase on this website "In Arillas there are no strangers, just friends you haven't yet met". I think that really sums it up.
As I said, truly unique, hope it will always stay that way.

that is very well put martin. i even luv the cleaners whom i have total respect for. luv them to bits, must mention their names as i was told effi 1 and effi 2 from kaloudis. i don't know if the names are spelt correctly. they recognise us straight away each time we go..........riggers
Got to agree with your comments.We first visited Arilas in 1988 and when we eventually returned two years ago we were delighted to see that although the resort was a bit bigger,the place still had the same welcoming feel to it.
