Hi there. I'm a newby on the forum but not to Arillas.
I have just posted a reply to the other thread about these apartments and am quite sure if you like Greek island holidays you will enjoy. It is the people who make it, not the basics which, incidentally are fine. There is a great pool, which has always been beautifully maintained in the many hours we have spent in it (or in my case sat at the bar chatting to Angela and Phillipus.) The location gives you equal access to Arillas and San Stefanos, but if you're after a commercial hotbed of highrise and clubs like Benidorm cancel. On second thoughts, if that's what you want, don't go to Arillas go to Kavos.

Hope you have a great holiday. We'll be back for our 5th time next July.

phil and jen
(mention us when you get there...)

I agree with all that's been said...the sincere hospitality your will receive in Arillas is second to none, it's one of the main reasons why so many people return year after year.

By the way... there is a lovely little short-cut to the beach instead of walking down the main road.  When leaving Christos, instead of walking downhill towards Arillas turn left, then left again down the road signposted San Stephanos.  Half-way down this road there is a right turn to San.Steph but ignore that turning and walk straight on. If you want to walk down the cliff path to Arillas you would continue onwards...but we don't want to go that way today (!) we are going to turn left down a little lane which is between 2 houses...the opening is directly opposite a drive-way & large wheelie bin.  Continue down this path past little small holdings, careful as you go the chickens are liable to run out in front of you!  When you eventually come down to the end of the track there is a little road where you will turn right.  This road comes out at the beach at the side of Eftihia which you can see on the map here... Arillas tourist map (http://arillasmap.awardspace.com/)

It can be a little difficult to find the beginning of the track so I've attached two photos.  The first shows the driveway and wheelie bin opposite the opening.  The second photo is the start of the track.

Eileen
That bit of info you posted last year has just become useful to me.
We will be staying at the Christos In July.
Looks like it will be an adventure going down to the beach this way.
will defiantly give it a go. Thanks.

Hi John,

I'm glad it's going to be of help :-)  I think it's much nicer to arrive at the beach via a 'country'fied' walk (you know what I mean!) than via a road. It's much more fun dodging the hens running around the lane than it is cars on the road!

Greg
We will be staying at the Christos in July.
We were there a few weeks back and stayed at the Tria-Adelphia so we had a walk up the hill, visited the Christos and Introduced ourselves.
Angela was there and made us welcome, she said that Filipos was not there as he was working,  he must have known that someone was about because he arrived some ten minutes later and he was happy that we had called in.
He stayed and chatted for about fifteen minutes before he had to go but again he had made us welcome add looked forward to meeting us again in July.
Although we were only there a short while we were sure that we had not done wrong by booking to stay there. We are now looking forward to our third visit to Arillas.
It's going to be as good as the first two thats for certain

Only arrived back from Arillas a few days ago. Had a lovely holiday, the place is really nice, Lazying by the pool with a Mythos was heaven,Beach great, Restaurants superb, Nightlife just fine (with an 11 yr old in toe)... Stayed at The Christos Apartments -They are in a lovely position for Arillas and San Stefenos. Our room was a studio overlooking the pool, just right for us, couldnt ask for anything more. Made some brill friends whilst there, Yes everything was just great.
Phillipos and Angela our hosts very nice people (although I think Angela is the brains of the pair..!). Sorry Phillipos..ha ha
Phillipos is a great chap. Likes to entertain his guests with a few late night drinks and pool partying, (there was a large family staying there who liked a good time - Phillipos made sure they had one!) , this was fine, unfortunataly for us with our room was so close to the pool and bar we found sleeping somewhat hard on these occasions. Thus I compalined a couple of times..This did not go down to well, even told our Rep who really couldnt have cared less.
To sum up.. If you want a quiet relaxing holiday The Christos is a great place to stay, but just BEWARE, you are in a small complex of 8 apartments and you never know who else will be holidaying the same time as you.

Hey Judet,
Thanks for posting your review - it sounds like you had a really good time & so glad you enjoyed Arillas - once you've visited once it's only a matter of time before you'll be back :-)
The Christos sounds like a really nice place - I don't know it I'm afraid but it's always good to hear about places you don't quite know.
Hope it wasn't too noisy?
Where did you go to eat?

BeckyB.

Hiya..
We ate at nearly all the restaurants.. I think our favourite was the one next door to the Sea Breeze. Can't think of the name of it . It was lovely watching the sunset.

Do you think you'll go back again?

Yep, you're quite right. It's good to try new places.
We're a bit guilty about not doing that as much as we should. I think we love Arillas so much - we just keep getting lured back....

Hi john
I know you  complained too , but still its a shame to think people behave in that way..you know what incident i mean?
I dont think we will return to Arillas but think we may try other resorts one day.
We enjoyed meeting you too by the way.
