Title: Arillas Map
Post by: Brian on September 16, 2007, 11:42:22 AM
No matter what I try I cannot make the map fit on an A4 page. The right hand side reaches Zorbas and the bottom Bardis Sun.
Help anyone?

Brian
try this way,
go to Print Map, on Print, click on print preview,
change to Landscape, click on Shrink to fit, then Custom, then as 35%, then Print, this should get you the largest print size, or it does on mine. I hope it works.

Thanks for that. Did not work on mine but gave me an idea, which I tried, and it worked.
I saved it as a picture and used Photo software to size and print it.

ps I can now find my way to all the places everyone has been talking about. Roll on Tuesday!!!

If you have Powerpoint on your PC, it is an ideal tool to resize pictures. Just set the page size ie A4, insert the picture/photo and just stretch to fit the page.

The finished document can then be saved as a jpg.

It is also useful to use Powerpoint to overlay one photo on top of another, or to group photos on to one page.

Don't have Powerpoint. I used Arcsoft, snag is it is incredibly slow.
Thanks anyway.

Brian,

If you ever wanted some "Powerpoint" type software, Star Office 8 is a really good cheap alternative.

See ....... http://www.sun.com/software/star/staroffice/get.jsp

Or try Open Office from    http://www.openoffice.org/

Thanks Terry
I will give it a try.
I have several thousand phtographs to scan and collate and store. Many need cropping etc.
