We know how your feel vivian, we got ours a few weeks ago.  :-)

I got a letter this morning, I thought it was from the Holiday Company informing me they have cancelled our holiday.

But it was from the Criminal Injuries people, informing me it will be at least 9 months before I get an answer about my case.  :-(

By the time sharonF gets to Arillas, we'll have been there, and done that ;-)

Enjoy yourself.  Yammas  (whatever that means)  ;-)

Our tickets came yesterday morning, the count down can begin now.  Was suprised as Xl only issue sheets of paper with the flight details on.  I wanted a proper booklet with my tickets in, there wasn't even any luggage tags.  I love writing them out - sad isn't it.

If there aren't any luggage tags do they sort that out at the airport?  Will be panicking incase my cases go missing.

Jill

As we always do late bookings we always get our luggage labels at the airport. If you go to a Thomson desk they will supply them for you.

I have to diagree, i hate writing out the labels.

Have a great time.

When we went with Corfuescape in May we didnt have any luggage tags, nor did we have any when we flew with XL last September to Spain.  Once the cases are weighed they stick the label on anyway so they really shouldnt get lost, well touch wood mine never have.

In with our tickets i picked up yesterday there are 2 tags for each of us, already printed with all the details, we booked through Thomsons.

I don't think anyone gets luggage tags now. I    t seems once it's weighed and tagged that does it. Security measures again I suppose.

We had luggage tags with Corfu Escape this year.  Nancy said they were trying out a new Logo.  A great big Orange... we had Orange shaped tags, only two but it was enough.  It was very handy as they were identifiable very quickly on the carousel and we could see her immediately at the Arrivals when we got picked up.

I was a little panicked this year when I had no labels (XL) I went to a few desks asking if they could give me any but a 'first choice' rep said that it would better to leave it as there was more chance they could get mixed up if you put another airlines label on.  On checking, the labels that are put on during check-in have your name and destination on anyway so I really woudn't worry.

Also, has anyone done the 'express check-in'? Much quicker and free to use.  Avoid the horrendous queues and go to the touch screen areas.

We did once have "E-Tickets" for a holiday once.
No need to join a long Check-In queue.

We just went to the "E Check-In" stand, confirmed my identity and had our luggage taken by the porter.

Then off to the VIP Lounge  :-)

I don't recall seeing an XL Express version at Gatport Airwick.

We'll know tomorrow.  :-)

Hi Viv, our tickets from Manos say to confirm return flight times with their resort office at least 48 hours before departure.  I believe this is pretty standard, so hopefully nothing to worry about!
We leave for Gatwick tomorrow afternoon so only have the packing left to do - allways last minute with me.  Mind you, I'm only just recovering from a bad back - my daughter popped round this afternoon to help with the last bit of ironing, bless her.
See you there,
lynn

Some centuries ago, before we were married, (1964) we went to Mallorca on a 15 day hol. We were asked to call in the local agent 24 hours before our flight.
In all innocence we thought we had 15 nights and duly called in, only to find the flight left the previous night!!
Luckily the agent was in Palma at the time and got us on a flight to Cardiff (we went from Birmingham) and we were two days late back to work, me with a lot of grey hair before my time!!
You will understand when I say that if we are asked to confirm I DO.
Arriving next Tuesday night, I think.
