Like my first visit to Arillas in July, this is my first visit to the forum
I arrived in Arillas with my wife and thought what have we done, well after a good nights sleep we were pleasantly surprised.
We usually pick different destinations each holiday. But following a fantastic two weeks in this wonderful place we have been to the travel agents and booked again for next May. Cant wait, my grandson will be coming with us in May and this will be his first holiday abroad, what a fantastic place to start your first holiday abroad. I'm sure he will be back again for second third and fourth holidays with many more to follow. I know we will, Arillas is A GEM of a place, would like to keep it all to myself but that would be selfish. Hope it continues to be the find of our holiday destinations, it would be a shame to see it more commercialised. Then again why look for other destinations once you find Arillas.
Hi John
Welcome to the forum , you will find everything you need on here and glad to hear you enjoyed your holiday in Arillas and like the rest of us it will be the first of many .

welcome john ,as you said ,it not commercialised i first come to arillas 10 yrs ago and it hasnt changed that much unlike some resorts on corfu ,and welcome to the forum ...
Arillas is amazing! Malibu Bar is mental. Does anyone know the name of that american DJ who works there??
That's Perry and he's not actually American although he lived there for many years. He comes from Arillas and his family owns Perry and Jimmy's studios behind the Rainbow - they were named after him and his brother. Their father Dennis looks after the studios. Lovely family.
It's our first time too, we leave a week Friday! Can't wait now!
From what everyone's said on here it seems like it'll be right up our street - and I feel so much better prepared having chatted with people on here! Usually when we go on holiday we end up spending the first 3 days trying to get our bearings and we're only going for a week!
This forum has been absolutely amazing help!
:D
That's how we felt when we first went last year. When we got there I didnt bother unpacking, I just had to have a walk around and do a rekky of the places I had heard about on here. It was as if we had been there before. Mike was amazed that I could remember so much, well it made life easier for him as he didnt have to worry too much about the restaurants as we heard so many good reports about Arillas.
Glad you enjoyed your first visit. You can see what we mean when we say it is addictive. We took out Grandson with us about 4 years ago and there is no way we can go without him now, he loves the place as much as we do
Jill
Hi John, isn't it wonderful. We went first time in july and are returning in September. Why try to beat perfection, because that it what Arillas is in every way. Including this forum and everybody on it. x

Arillas is a great place for people that want to visit a resort that is not very commercial and also for first time holiday makers.
Three weeks today by now i should be at the rainbow bar if we get a taxi from the airport, then unpack enought to last a day or two then head for the bar then a meal then back to the bar then bed. Then unpack properly the next day.
Looking forward to trying to spot some of you of here carnt miss sinbadsgirl(my mum) so i should start trying to spot some others.Hannah
I have been reading every posting since I found this site about 8 weeks ago.
We arrive tonight at about 23.30 local time at the Kaloudis.
I hope that you have all been telling me the truth or I shall throw a paddy.
Arillas actually sounds too good to be true listening to all of you out there.
Thanks for the entertainment.
Eggy
Is there anything I can bring that you want or need? I can get to the shops this morning.
Have a great time Brian - I'm sure you will!
Eggy - what are you going to do for supplies between 31 October and 1 May?
Brian
Pickled Onions would be good. - Transferred to plastic container of course or too heavy.
( Maybe too late for you now as I've only just picked up the message.)
Please don't make a special trip out for them.
You will like Arillas, I'm sure. And Kaloudis gets very good reports, not only on the Forum but also people I have spoken to here.
Sandy
Other items we'll have to "muck on through" - Now we've found that big supermarket in Corfu Town it covers most things. - Except mango chutney, Branston pickle and, of course, big boxes of Tetley tea bags.
Cheers
Negg
Is that a hint that you would like Branston pickle as well as mango chutney when I come over Eggy? Don't worry - I'll have plenty of room - it's Joyce who is always overweight because she always brings about 10 kilos of chocolate for Jimmy and Spiros. One of these days she will be charged for excess baggage...
Hi Sandy, Tell Joyce to be careful coming back they weighed my suitcase and 2 flight bags and said I was 3 Kilos overweight, and then proceeded to charge me 27 Euros. We have been advised by cabin crew to e.mail My Travel, will keep everyone updated, probably get no joy, it's worth a try. Suzanne.
I've never even known them weigh the bags at Corfu airport - we only worry at Gatwick! Somehow she always seems to manage to get away with it.....but she adopts the policy, if she has to pay....she has to pay.
