Roll on 18th Sept. and Kaloudis.
I have just been out to pick some mint for Joan's Pimms and I popped my head in the greenhouse, as you do.
The temp. at 20.00 was 9 degrees. It's bloody winter here!!

Cheryl

I've got a week off from the 10th of September and was trying to book a cheapy, but hubby works for a main vauxhall dealership and with the new registrations out in September cant take the time off now - gutted.  :(

Ah Sarah am gutted for you!  Could you not fake a little mini-breakdown so you just need to get away on your own for a week?? And people wonder why I'm single, eh?! ha ha

Im not the sort of person who would go on my own!  Normally i only have to mention the word holiday and hes got his bags packed!! ;)

If he could get away with it he would rather take a week off sick!! but his phone is constantly ringing whenever we are away and i think that they would realise by the ringtone and being a nice healthy brown rather than a ill lookiing pasty white colour when he went back to work....... Never mind perhaps October.

It's not worth risking telling lies, I believe in karma at all times!!  I paid £129 pp last October for a week at the Rainbow, day flights and transfer included and booked it about three weeks before we went so hopefully you'll find something similar for this year.  Fingers crossed for you!  Also if you can get a cheap flight, Eggy may be able to help you find somewhere to stay!

Hi
Have just read this thread and you all seem to be fans of the Kaloudis.  Now that Libra seem to have pulled out of the Horizon (where we stayed in June 2007), I wondered about booking with Thompsons for the Kaloudis.  The Trip Advisor web site has some good reviews.  I just need a little convincing and I'll book two weeks in May 2008.
Any encouragement would be welcome.

If it was just me and my husband it would be the Horizon all the way!

Hi
Thanks for the replies riggers and Jo.  Am just trying to get my wife to agree now that we should book the Kaloudis for next May.  Have been to Corfu in May previously and the weather was great.  Don't know about October though.  The latest I've stayed in Corfu was the two weeks running up to the 1st October.  We had a terrific thunderstorm over the middle weekend and lost power in the village, but spent the time on a trip to Corfu town looking round the shops and museum.  The rest of the time though was fine and warm.
Best wishes
PJ
