Yup,you guessed it yet another question.
Just wondering what the latest serving time for meals were and where?just in case we are late arriving.
Hi there
The Greeks don't even start their teas until around 10:00pm. So even if you arrive late I am sure you will be able to get food somewhere.
Amanda
The best place for a very late meal is the Grill next to the malibu. They serve till about 3 in the morning.
WOW! 3am.Cheers peeps always good to be in the know.
We went to Thalassa about half 10 one evening and we said 'its not too late is it' and Yannis said 'No, no its still early', we were made to feel very welcome.
But of course if its the early hours youre arriving then The Grill is your best bet.
............or burger king!
Hi Joe
Will you get Burger King out of your head please!!!
Amanda
Ok its gone :)
Hi Joe
Thanx, because if the time comes when Arillas has a Burger King or McDonalds then I think that will be the time I stop going.
Amanda
Stop it now Joe!!! ;)
as the only outlets that come close to fast food (chinese and pizza) are no longer open i think that we can rest assured that ronald and the colonel will be giving arillas a wide berth :-)
Before we develope a "wide berth" eh! ;)
I love Corfu's own fast food - Gyros, perfect for soaking up all that beer after a heavy night and the restaurant next to the Malibu does them till late, fantastic location right next to the main bars
What actually IS Gyros? Is it beef or lamb or various 'innards' as make up our 'delightful' kebabs over here? I must admit though, last year when we had the munchies we had somechips from there and I swear they were the best I have ever tasted!
I'm told the Portofino does an excellent gyros too.
I think they are pork kebab meat cooked on one of those donnar machines we have in the uk, however these contain actual meat, are twice as tasty and nowhere near as fatty. They are then combined with onions, sometimes tomatoes, chips and tatsiki and all rolled together in a freshly heated pitta.
There is also a main version of it (for all I know this is the traditional Gyros) which is a massive portion of spit rosted pork kebab with all the trimmings, very nice :)
When we arrived late and hadnt eaten we had a snack at the grill. Cant remember what Steve had, but I had omlette and chips as dont really like eating too late and it was lovely.
Me and Brett had a Gyros one lunchtime, they are really gorgeous and tasty, the meat isnt fatty at all and the pitta is really soft and i can recommend them for a tasty snack during the day or for a drunken snack late at night haha!!
