Title: photo of the day
Post by: vivian on August 12, 2006, 09:36:18 AM
Looking at todays photo 12thAug. It looks like you are paddling to get to the naturist beach and then having to lay on pebbles as no sand,
is that how it is at the moment, or does it just look that way. Viv

With the recent stormy seas, some of the pebbled northern beach is being eroded and the pebbles moved out from the shoreline. Also, the heavier seas have meant that the surf rides higher up the beach, reducing the drier sandy areas. You will just have to lie on the higher sands, expecting an occasional surge of cooling water to your bum or tum!

Hi Viv

I only ventured to the far end of the beach once during my holiday as I had to wade nearly waist height to get there and once there I was terrified of being cut off with the sea being so rough.  In 8 years of coming to Arillas I have never known the waves so big! The nights were very stormy as well.
