Title: Jet2 changes for child fares and change in childrens baggage allowance
Post by: turkeyfoot on August 23, 2025, 01:15:46 PM
Hi

A major change has been made by Jet2, and it affects anyone with children travelling either on a package holiday or just a flight. From this month forward, anyone travelling with a child under two on a Jet2 flight will not be charged for their flight ticket.
This will make Jet2 the only UK airline that doesn't charge for children under two to travel across Europe, the Canaries and the Mediterranean. This new policy applies to all new bookings made from Friday, August 22, 2025, and children must be under two at the time of travel for it to apply. With children under two already going free when they travel with Jet2holidays, this now means that all under twos travel free - whether on a package holiday or on a seat-only flight.

Jet2 has also announced a new family-friendly change to its baggage allowance for children and babies. Now, it will be free to check child equipment into the hold.
Alongside an extra 10kg baggage allowance for children under two, customers can bring up to two items per child (under two) free of charge to be checked into the hold.

"By putting our customers first and making these changes, meaning that all children under two now travel for free whether on a package holiday or a seat-only flight, we are making travel even more accessible for millions of families."

I think you only paid about 20 quid for under 2's before. Still a saving though

Hi

Never took a little one  on a foreign holiday, could never afford it, but the extra luggage will no doubt also be welcome.

Looking at parents with young children at airports it must be hard work, I often think I wouldn't attermpt it
