Have heard that Kaloudis and Mathraki are no longer doing evening meals due to new employment laws
Mathraki bar is open in evenings still
Can anybody confirm these times?
Looks as though pre booking is going to be essential when/if other locations follow suit

Have looked at the Mathraki web site and it confirms that food is only served until 17.00 hrs
apart from Sunday for their curry night.Which used to be very good
Although last Sunday it was cancelled.

Several now operating reduced hours. E.g. Brouklis not open on Sundays, and I believe Athina not opening Monday's etc. It's because of new employment legislation not allowing people to work over a certain number of hours, and those businesses who don't have enough staff to rotate, are reducing opening hours.
I have heard that the Taverners are now only are only aloud to open 5 days a week. If this is right I don't know.

Not really. As I said , it's because staff are now only allowed to work a certain number of hours a week, so businesses that don't have enough staff to rotate them, are having to close one day a week. A lot of the tavernas are still open 7 days as before.
Thats right Angie. I honestly don't think there's any reason for concern about this at all from us holidaymakers . 👍

If a taverna is staffed entirely by family, its unlikely that a family member would report their ''employer'' to the
authorities for being overworked lol
Does anybody know of any other tavernas reducing hours other than those already mentioned?

Reported the Marina will now have a reduced menu on Wednesday's together with reduced staffing levels.
