Hi,
We are coming back to Arillas in July, I was just checking out a few of our usual haunts, and on Brouklis website it says it is closed on Sundays due to a new employment law?? Surely this isn't every Taverna or Sundays could be a bit boring and hungry!!!
Dimitris, I am sure , can explain the new employment law better than I.
But you will still find somewhere to eat on a Sunday.
"Costas on the Beach" , for example closes all day Monday. Some places open for lunch and some places may not open until 4pm ish.
I am sure all the local "eateries" have worked together on this to keep you guys well fed.
Cheers
Negg
Hi
As I understand it staff must be given a time off for a rest period, so opening hours are restricted. An unofficial ''rota'' between establishments seems to make sense . Legal changes came into force this year.
Could make pre booking even more essential

Hi
I suppose they could employ more staff and work a 7 day rota system
Which is probably the reason the rules were made to reduce unemployment.
That would of course reduce the bottom line and increase prices.

Thanks all.
It will definitely make booking more important, especially at peak times.
In larger resorts it wouldn't be quite as much of a problem, but Arillas is quite 'condensed' with relatively few Tavernas to Holiday makers.
I suppose it will save us walking up and down the sea front trying to decide!!
