Hi all, hope everyone is well? As some of you may know it's been many years since I was last Arillas which was in September time of the year, as my wife and I are arriving 27th July I think it will be much busier than way back then so was wondering if it is best to try and book somewhere for a first night meal? I know there are plenty of places to eat and booking my not be essential but as my wife hasn't been here before and we are celebrating 10 years of marriage I thought somewhere on the beachfront might be nice. Also, not many places seem to have websites or Facebook accounts so what would be the best way to book if I need to? Thanks in advance for your advice/opinions!
Paul
You'll be fine mate, we tend to book on the afternoon of the night we're eating and never had a problem on the front 👍
The only one you will have trouble getting a table is the Brouklis it gets packed

Hi
The need to book started during Covid because restuarants had a smaller number of tables to comply with isolations rules etc. Now its its common place.
We tend to eat early (19.30) and one venue we frequent always has tables showing reserved and customers are turned away being told they are fully booked
When we leave the same tables still show as reserved !!
I would have thought that if instead of loosing a customer, say, for example, that table is booked for 21.00 hrs but its ok to have it until then.
Providing of course the owner is confident he can serve them in the time required.
After all,its bums on seats that pay the bills

If there is somewhere particular you want to eat (especially those on the front, such as Gratsella), I would say definitely call in during the day and book. As you say, July is very busy and to be successful on just a 'walk in', you'll need to go early (before 7.30), or late (after 9.30).

Unless The Boss has picked it up and moved it Kev its not on the front , which is where Paul asked about 🤣 . That win against Leicester last night must have gone to your head mate 😁
Thanks everyone, was maybe thinking Kostas so think I'll probably book as it's our first night then go with the flow. Brouklis was my favourite place last time I was there, the food the atmosphere the staff was just great and I went there the most in the 2 weeks than anywhere else

Playing safe, it is better to book Costas as you get an early choice for you table you want.
Cheers

We always book now to avoid disappointment. Never in recent years been able to turn up where we want and get a table without booking but then not risked it. We are on Instagram so book Gratsellas before we even arrive.
