Hi
It is reported that at a recent meeting in Birminham , Just Stop Oil co-founder Indigo Rumbelow was greeted by cheers as she told the audience: 'We are going to continue to resist. We're going to ratchet it up.
Outlining a blueprint for causing travel chaos, she advocated:
● Cutting through fences and gluing themselves to runway tarmac;
● Cycling in circles on runways;
● Climbing on to planes to prevent them from taking off;
● Staging sit-ins at terminals 'day after day' to stop passengers getting inside airports.
Miss Rumbelow told the crowd: 'We're going to be saying to the Government: 'If you're not going to stop the oil, we're going to be doing it for you.''
She cited similar protests to use as inspiration for their action, including Hong Kong students 'gathering in sit-ins in the entrances to airports, closing and disrupting them, day after day' during their protests against Chinese rule in 2019.
The article was discussed in my local, over a pint or two, whilst putting the world to right issues were deliberated in general. Somebody mentioned all they had to do was to purchase some cheap one way tickets to get past security and get close to the runway and planes etc
Geoff
On the bright side Geoff , if they stop me flying it will stop us falling from the sky in my Ryanair Boeing 737 🤣
Many arrests on the horizon! Good luck with trying to breach airport airside security and if they are getting all that is coming to them 😂😂😂

I like the above!! - I can imagine the pilot saying to all his passengers......
....." Sorry about the turbulence and bumpy take off, but there was a cylist on the runway"
"
He cut across the field but we got him in the end !!!Cheers

Talking about airport security reminded me of my first ever visit to Corfu (1972?).
Back then, as you can imagine, it was a fraction of the size it is now.
We were sat on a wall outside, waiting in 'departure' and watching the plane's, when suddenly a chap came running past us, carrying a holdall, onto the tarmac , waving his arms, and ran towards a plane that was heading for the runway.
The plane stopped.
Some lads went running after him - with steps.
The plane door opened, and he got on.
Can't see that happening today somehow lol.
Brilliant ! Those were the days !

I hope they stamped on a few ankles on the way!!!!
and I suppose the logical comment to say to these people are -
"Just think, if you worked for a lving you could afford a holiday as well!!!"

Hi
At it again yesterday.
This time Heathrow teminal 5.
They sprayed departure boards with orange paint.
Geoff
Hi
Tell me do the oil protestors have jobs if so do they go on holiday. And how do they get to the next target to spray orange or sit on a motorway
Bus, coach, car, or do they all use a push bike haha oops sorry just laughed a bit
Do protestors realise to get the cleaners out
When climbing bridges high up the police, fire brigade, Ambulance's are all called out ££££s
A old saying
Cut your nose off to spite your face
It cost £millions lorries late to get the stock to destination

Oh my God, wot can the police do? - You dare not kick em in the head as that is above and beyond the call off duty. Maybe the police should be issued with hand dusters so they can say...
"Naughty boys , I am going to give you a fluffing!!"
Personally i would kick the s**t out of em. The law is an ass and these orange t***s need a bloody good wake up. - But the police still have to wear slippers.
Tis the law - DONCHYERKNOW?Negg
One of my best mates ex wife is one of this lot. Lovely lady in fairness but is now extreme!
She's a schoolteacher and basically her 'eco job' is to act as an intermediatory between the old bill and any arrested activists.
Some of the stuff I hear about her from her kids is ridiculous ......
they are domestic terrorists the moment they set foot on airport property in my view. Id happily see them all banged them up for a ten stretch no parole.
There would definitely a few teeth flying as I step over them at a departure gate.
Hi
Southend Airport has secured a High Court injunction to stop would be enviromental protesters on its land.
The order is for 5 yrs with a review in 12 months
Geoff
If there's any protesters at Birmingham Airport today they will be taking out an injunction on me !!!
Karl
Catch yer soon , maybe? - Have a good journey.
and hoping you don't arrive covered in orange paint!!
Negg
🤣 . I'll catch you for a beer or two no doubt mate. Airports busy but no Orangers 😁
