Title: PLF - Passenger Locator Form - guidance
Post by: Donpipez on July 20, 2020, 12:20:10 PM
Hi Folks

Could anyone give a definitive answer to whether each traveller is required to fill out a separate PLF?

I filled ours out last Week and was given the option to add further family members at which point I added Jill to my application.

I have since had email confirmation and we are both down on the form to travel.

However I have seen conflicting opinions of which some state each traveller must fill out their own application individually.

Anyone already done theirs and which option did you take?

Many Thanks

Neil & Jill

Hi yes I have and I think you need to do one each. The PLF gives you a QR code 24 hours before you fly and each person needs their own code when you arrive at the airport. I think you simply add your travel companions so that if you're tested and have a positive result they know who you have travelled with

I have done for each of us and just added each other on each form also. Better to be safe than sorry. I've read that some people have got through with everyone on 1 firm but others have been refused boarding. Why take the chance for the sake of 5 minute job?

We have filled in a form each also but put each other on the form.

You definitely need a form for each person. It might be that only one person is tested as they look at individual codes. A 1 at the front of your QR code denotes a test a 2 at the front denotes no test needed

How did you find this out Lawty?

I arrived last Thursday and as you come through passport control at Corfu airport they ask you to show them the QR code which Is sent to you 24 hours before you travel. My partner and I needed one code each. The code determines if you get Covid tested or not

Sorry Lawty I meant how did you find out that a code beginning with 1 means no test and beginning with does.  Thanks

Hi, sorry - just by talking to people who had or hadn't been tested. Those people whose QR code started with a 1 got tested and those whose code started with a 2 didn't get a test. I'm not sure if this will continue to apply as the airport gets busier but it seems to be the case at the moment

Thanks. We are all getting tested 3 days before we leave but still it will be an anxious wait if we are tested on arrival until that 24 hours are up and not heard anything.

Presumably the form needs to be filled in also for the return journey?

Just been looking at this again and it says you only have to fill one in per family.

They filled out PLF a couple of days before departure all the checks at Zante
But at stansted Airport no bar code testing they just told all the passengers just keep walking it was just like a nominal holiday coming back

Kevin

P/S

They all had a fantastic time weather hot food brilliant good apartments
Now we are just waiting to go to Port Issac  I think it is 28/8 for a short holiday

Our QR codes all begin with a '4' not a 1 or a 2 ?
Just googled it and now a 4 appears to be no test code

We fly tomorrow afternoon, waiting anxiously for our QR codes!  Just wondered where you found the information regarding numbers starting with a 4 = no test?

Thanks

Just had a search on the internet to be honest.
Not a soul was tested on our flight as far as I could see! We were a late flight in and its a Bank Holiday tomorrow ..... so that may have something to do with it 🤣

Just done ours for the pair of us mostly my details and just her name I think and we should just get it in time for our flight to Corfu. I just hope we do not have any more problems as we are getting fed up. See Arillas as soon as possible.
I will have to think hard about filling in one for UK as I will think hard about not bothering to come back for a while.
