Title: The Sprowt Lady
Post by: harold on May 20, 2008, 04:22:09 PM
We have all heard of the doughnut man,now we have a Sprowt lady, her goods are all wrapped up and covered and she tells you the price before hand.
I think she is German and she asked Sally and i if we would like a Sprowt sandwich,to which we replied no thank you. After she had gone i turned to Sally and said did i hear correct Sprowt sandwich to which she replied i think so.Now i am used to Brussel Sprowts with a roast but not on a sandwhich.I mentioned it in the Brouklis that night and a couple of fellow holidaymakers decided to find out the answer. In fact she did say sprowts and it looked like Beansprowts on brown bread. After being told what they were the next time i saw the lady in question i decided to buy one for research. They turned out to be a mustard cress in Mayo on very nice soft brown bread 3 euros each, but as i said before very nicely wrapped and covered and no pressure.

Hi Lindypops,
Harold had one or two and I did the same with Spiro's Ice Cream specials. I dont think they could be beaten by anybody any where in the world. Viv

They are wrapped and fresh and you know how much you are paying before you buy, also you can pick a free tomato,i would say it's ok,not like the do'nut man.

You certainly are, if you go to Porto Fino ask Spiro (nobody else) to do you an ice cream special.
