What is your truly best bit? Us lot love it all, but for the wider world, state your best bit. You're only allowed one. It coud be the RI, the food, the beach.... Only one.
Mine is the friendship.
Phil
Just being there.
The people, whom I regard also as my friends.
the comming together from all walks of life..............
The tranquillity when strolling through the olive groves
Phil you meanie giving us only one choice...
My best bit is friendship
Keith's is relaxation (when I can't find something for him to do ;-) )
Liam's is the freedom of the beach
Ashley the sun
Keith jnr the Nut!
The people.
Mine is knowing I'm in a safe place

Connie x
a little peice of heaven im sure
It's all good but nights at the Rainbow is mine .
I'm with Sandy & Eileen on this one, it's the people who over the years or even just weeks or days have become good friends.
My one thing has to be "unbearable lightness of being" in Arillas :)
Can't beat it, I love it and that's why I keep on going back ;)
Erja luvver, I vowed not to post again, and just let the list grow, but I have so identified with "lightness of being." I don't find it unbearable, and I guess nor do you. Such a contrast from the hurlyburly of town life but 'tis maybe too laid back? Er no, not for us luvver....
Phil
Opening the balcony doors about 7am and sitting with my first coffee and watching the village awake. So I suppose just being in Arillas.
Val
Knowing that when I am there it will be as close to perfection as it can be.
Phil, did you know you would cause sleepless nights by posting this?
I will wake in the morning and want to change this reply
And every day thereafter
The View when sitting on the seafront. It does not matter whether i am on the beach, pier, restaurant or just walking it says i am happy!!!!
I think Valnbills tag line says it all for me..
"The love affair continues"
Ang x
Indeed Ang. Just to float along the front, taking in the sea, air, moments. To listen to the water lapping, is so cool. At the end, to find somewhere to have some lovely food. I`m there-----------
Very hard to make that decision......love it ALL from landing at the airport...
OK the friendship.....especially from Perry and Costa at the Nut...
OOPS....and Hannah of course......
You've retrieved it John! We were starting to wonder. They're both gorgeous men, but er, they are men....
Sorry mate. You know me. I know better but somehow never listen to myself
Phil
Lost me...
Same as valnbill, opening the balcony doors and feeling the warm air, hearing the sea, seeing the wonderful view, and thinking its another day in Arillas
bliss
Someone feed me please.
The best thing about Arillas for me is the ability to relax, let myself go, and just be myself, knowing that its exactly what that wonderful place expects of me.
The best bit to me is waking up on your 1st morning there knowing you have 2 full weeks to do what ever you please :-)
Tony
That feeling you get inside when you get there - I can't put a name to it but it's everything, the people, the food, the sea, just life as it should be!
There isn't a best bit - it's all wonderful!
Do you mean guts ache Cheryl from the inflight meal lol ;-)
Tony
Oh Tony, what are you like? Typical Yorkshire man, tee hee! You would have to spoil it, wouldn't you?! It's a nice feeling inside and it reaches all parts not just the belly!!
The unique smell and sound of Corfu, when you get of the plane, always makes Sally and I turn to each other and say we are Home.
I know exactly the feeling you mean Cheryl but i get it after 10 pints of Mythos and numerous Black Sambuca's ;-)
Tony
The glistening sea from my Marinaki swing, just as the sun is making the colours all twinkly and beautiful. (SIGH!!!!!!!!!)
For me, it`s the place itself. It`s the ` perfect antidote to life`s stresses and srains`.
Might have said that before!!!
Paul
Our plane always lands late, when it is already dark. The road to Arillas feels long and mysterious, dotted with quick glimpses of village lights or starlit scenery. Then suddenly the lights seem familiar, we drive past Brouklis, I wave frantically, though nobody can see me. We have arrived in Arillas. That is the best moment. Emeralddragon
Lol. You lot are an inspiration. Its interesting what makes us happy. For me its being so relaxed, all I want to do is read my books. ( eat, sleep, drink, ) I can average three a week in Arillas but only one a year at home. Having just been to see "Les Miserables" I have bought the book. At 1232 pages I am not sure I will get it on the plane but will have to get the Royal Ionian piped into my room for the duration.
I hope the wider world is reading all your posts. To quote 4x4 we lot are an inspiration. We are struggling to find the best bit amongst so many aspects of spending time in Arillas, because there are so many best bits.
Let's hope our inspiration helps Arillas to thrive through austerity, cuts and recession. I know how much we all care.
Phil
spending 14 whole days in my little piece of heaven, total chillout, stress free with my dear wife. Roll on July 4th.
