A special "Arillas Today" as it was the christening of Bebis at Arillas Church.

You may recognise a few faces here.

.

.

Not forgetting the main reason why everyone was there!

But Dimitris still had time to tinker with gadgets!

I was too far away in the Church to get any good photos but I'm sure Dimitris has all that organised. I'll leave it to him to post those and, of course, with Bebis's name.
A lovely day for it, as they say, with 15 degs and sunny.
Even Arillas was on it's best behaviour.

This one taken fron the Church.

Plus a little visit to the beach was in order.

Finally, on the way back to Kavaddades I thought I'd try and get a shot of Albania.

I'm sure I saw a little snow on those peaks!

Signing off with congrats Dimitris and Litsa and ..........?
( And, of course, Dimitris and Litsa's very proud parents )
Time to have that good holiday now.

Cheers
Negg

How lovely!
Thank you for posting the photo's Eggy - seeing them brought a big grin to my face....& made me pause & think about yet another reason why I love Arillas so much! The people are second to none & I really wish I'd been a fly on the wall at the special ceremony.
Lovely, lovely Arillas - I do miss it....

I think maybe we should call this posting a :-

Arillas and Kavaddades today

We got a little carried away here so I suggest you sit with your favourite tipple, or 3. and no apologies necessary if you're too bleary eyed to finish this bumper issue.

5 deg outside, this morning, and this is what we awoke to.

On our way to Arillas we found the "ones" that got away this year.

One for Barry here. - When we got to Arillas someone had nicked our parking place.

Arillas looking good and still reclaiming back the beach after a few stormy arguments with that ole blue sea.

.

And.... what curious artifacts did we find on the beach?
One of Sandy's discarded retsina containers
She tells me she always takes one of these to the beach every day. - Alledgedly!

And, was it John the Ref who reported a lost sandal? - Has it finally come home?

We went home via the outskirts of San Stephanos and Magoulades so just a few pics here of the veiws.

.
You can see the Village of Magoulades in this one.

That sea belongs to Sidari with the mountains of Alania just in shot.

This is the "Egg" house, as seen from the road down into Kavaddades.

And.... When we got back to Kavadaddes there was, obviously, still activity at the local Church - I think many of you have driven past here.

Finally, for lovers of feline friends. It was then time for Meg to open her pressie.

Now, at 9 deg outside, but a very nice 21 deg inside, it's time for another wee dram and settle down with Wegg. - Who must take all the credit for the photos.
After her week in the UK it's good to have her home and have a decent meal!

Happy Christmas Negg & Wegg.

Thanks for a Christmas Day update.
I knew Santa would not forget, It was good of him to deliver my sandal to the beach,
I have the one for the left foot in the suitcase waiting for our return in July.
Have a good day and take it easy with the ouzo.

Thanks Eggy. What would we do without you?

Erja
