Hello all I am lilly glad i stumbled across this site it looks fab just a shame though i booked for sidari we have been visiting corfu for last 8 years was ready for a change this year but unsure which part to try . So back to where we know i will pay a visit in July. Thankyou to the people that have made me welcome!
Welcome aboard Lilly i'm sure you will find this site invaluable and as for its members you couldn't wish to meet such a brilliant set of people the one thing in common we all have on here is we all love Arillas for whatever reason the locals the sea sun i could go on forever.
From Sidari its not too far to drive over to Arillas so try a day there one thing for sure i bet you will return :-)
Tony
Hi Lilly and welcome,
Holidays are so precious that sometimes we feel it's just too risky to try somewhere new...and after all it suits then why change it. No doubt you have made many friends in Sidari and that's what pulls you back. I have friends who return to Sidari year after year for that very same reason.
Please come over to Arillas to see what we are all raving about. It's only approximately 9 miles from Sidari, not far at all - if you have a hired car you can pop over every day ;-) It's amazing how many people walk over from San Stephanos for a change of scenery and love it so much they spend half their holiday in Arillas...then return for their next holiday.
So as Tony says...you're sure to return too :-)
Eileen.

Glad your now sorted Lilly.
It can be a two way swap.:-) We are always eager to hear recommendations for places to visit in Corfu so any suggestions you care to make will be most welcome.

Hi ll and thanks for all the great welcomes been working so not been in this late looks real busy.
Welcome from Janis too, Lilly - I'm from West Yorkshire and I am an Arilliac!!
Barry and I love it - and you will too - once bitten, etc..
Most of us come on to the forum for our "daily fix" until we can actually go to Arillas in person - and then back on to report how wonderful it was and counting the days until the next time!

Hi Pat/Lilly
Julia & I made three visits to Corfu before we got to stay in Arillas. We stayed twice at Sidari and on a trip around in a hired car found first San Stefanos and then Arillas. The beach and sunsets hooked us and the next time we came we stayed at the Horizon - which was really good.
The next couple of visits we stayed at the Kaloudis Holiday Village courtesy of Thomsons (see the link at the bottom right hand side of this page), and have booked there again for September 2010.
You'll gather we are firm fans of Arillas. Its much quieter than Sidari, only a few shops, but plenty of good places to eat, and lots of good hospitality.
Hope to see you around in Arillas eventually.
Best wishes
Pat
