Hi all
Just wondering what the temperatures/weather is likely to be like for the first two weeks in September.
19 more sleeps!
Thank you
Yvonne
Normally expect temperatures of 70 - 75 but if I am too far out I know Eggy will help out with more accurate info.
Been going in September for a while, now. And it`s been mostly good with the odd storm. But it will be warm enough. Slightly cooler in the evenings.
Will be there in a few weeks time.

Thank you both - will take a wrap or cardie or something for the evenings then - See you soon Arillas

Weggy says that Ron & Sue have probably slightly underestimated the daytime temperatures which, during the first two weeks of September, can regularly be over 30C (86F). I suppose after that heat the evenings probably do feel a bit chilly! Expect a couple of cloudy or rainy days mixed in which all adds to the excitement!

If its wet outside will have to take cover in a bar, the hardship!
Well just to update all... We had an amazing thunder & lightening storm last night....& it's back today!... & set for the duration looking at it!! :-(
Looking at webcam it looks very dramatic!
Forecast on here looks better from tomorrow......enjoy the storm!
Looks very windy on the webcam but there are still a few heads bobbing up and down in the sea - brave people. Still, wish I was there - storm or no storm!
The weather has been rather wet and wild the past 24 hrs with more for tomorrow :-(
Brave or foolhardy the swimmers ? Especially as there were quite a few young kids out in. The waves looked very very rough.
if we go again will take raincoats. umbrellas and wellies
The weather this year was a little different to other September's that we visited. That's putting bit me mildly. Normally has been great over the years with the odd storm and then back to glorious weather. Not so this years prolonged storms to take your breath away. Will we go in September again? YES!
Paul
The weather in Corfu seems to have been unusual this September. Here in England it's also been unusual...it's been sunny and warm! O.k we've had some early morning mist and fog but yesterday in Leicester the temp. was 24 deg.
Very unusual!

After umpteen visits to Arillas and experiencing a good mix of weather, this year we saw more rainbows in a fortnight that ever in our lives. Not only that we had several electric storms with heavy downpours.
Here in Nettleham, Lincolnshire only 9mm of rain so far this month, while I think Eggy has recorded over 100mm in nw Corfu.
Hope you like this pic of an approaching storm taken from our balcony at the Kaloudis Holiday village on 6th September 2014.
Nice pic, Patrick. Turned out to be a huge storm.

Hi everyone. Talking about the weather my wife and I will be in arillas on the 3rd of October for 2 weeks.we were wondering what the weather would be like.? This is our 12th visit to arillas but never been so late before
yours franpol.
When we did a couple of weeks in October we had good weather apart from 2 days of storms over the weekend, so we hired a car and went into town to do the shops and museums.
Hi Franpol I arrive on 26th/26th September for two weeks and always come at this time of year. The sea is lovely and warm (it's been building up to this all season!), and the weather is usually very pleasant, bordering on too hot sometimes! There won't be as many "tourists" there either, so everyone is a lot more relaxed (not that anyone ever gets stressed in Arillas in any case!)
I'm taking my usual holiday clothes, plus an umbrella and a waterproof jacket (and perhaps a cardi for the evenings)
Janis x
Thanks for your advice janis. We will be staying at the kaludis village for 2 weeks. Our 8 time hopefully taking in the beer festival and generally chilling out . can't wait . arrilas gets you like that. 10 days and counting.
franpol.
As Janis says the sea is lovely and warm for swimming at the end of September and into October. In mid September I checked the water and it was usually between 23°C and 25°C (always slightly cooler further out).
That is in my book an ideal temperature to enjoy bathing in the sea. It can be warmer than that but is always cooler after a storm which mixes cooler water from further out with the water already in Arillas bay.

All sounds pretty good!!! We're arriving 26th, (Sept) not often been as late as this. I just want to get there.....leaving home at 0300 (!!!!) in the morning and I have no doubt I'll be 'in a mess' by the time we get to Arillas, but that's OK!!!
Now, where's my packing list??!!!
Robin's in bed - after his nightshift, only one more to do and then he'll be 'on holiday'!! Wandering the house...have you packed 'this' or where's 'that'!!!
But I know it'll all be worthwhile in the end, even more so if the weather is kind to us all!!!
Everyone enjoy,
Mavis and Robin xx
Weather in September generally good.
"Speedos" in September? - The Jury's still out on that one!
A very breezy day here today and only a few brave souls venturing out on Arillas Beach, Sidari Beach and Stephanos Beach. - But.... notta sad face in sight.
Negg loves the breeze as it gets rid of that dust and cobwebs that form around the brain.
(I'll be a coiled spring avrio! - Raring to go and "talk" for England!)
Cheers
Negg

:D By 'eck Patrick, have your Speedos got smaller ;0

It could just be that I've got bigger!
Haha
September without a pic of PJ in Speedos would not be September! It works for him and his lovely wife Julia. But just imagine Eggy (or heaven forbid me) in a similar pose! On second thoughts DON'T!
Personally, I think he is looking GREAT and long may the speedos look smaller. Whatever the cause. There are some interesting pics for you ladies much earlier in our dear policeman's life on early forum and elsewhere. He is a grown up man who knows what life is about. I respect him completely.
Phil
Agree Phil, there's only PJ that can fill a pair of speedos. :) Please don't put images in my head of Eggy in a pair, it just put me off my sausage sandwich ;)

As I have said before, Patrick's pics are a tonic!! Always make me smile :)
