Title: Corfu Street View 2010
Post by: Eileen on July 11, 2010, 09:46:26 AM
'Just Corfu' have a neat little function which allows us to see street views of Kassiopi, Roda, Sidari and St.George South.  More are to follow so lets hope Arillas will be featured soon.

Thats what  I always wanted to do for Arillas.
A virtual walk through the places and paths,

For this I would need some special equipment
having searched the web I found the following,

It's about $495.!!
Anyone has a better Idea?

http://www.0-360.com/  (http://www.0-360.com/)
The 0-360 Panoramic Optic™

Create 360 degree photos with just ONE SHOT. Why waste time stitching photos?

● 115 degree Vertical Field of View - 360 degree Horizontal Field of View

● All Glass Optics and All Aluminum Hardware

● Compatible with all dSLR and most all point-and-shoot cameras

I think its a great idea to get 360° photographs of Arillas but I am not sure about the equipment to do it. I think the $495.00 was a lot of money for something that may not get used a lot by one person. It could be a good buy for a business like a Real Estate Agent, who could use it on lots of properties.

Here are a few reviews Dimitris which includes this comment about the 0-360 lens ...

"It's OK, if you want to sacrifice quality for simplicity. The resulting images are mediocre quality"

http://www.dphoto.us/forum/showthread.php?t=5508

http://www.panoramas.dk/panorama/

http://www.360rage.com/panorama-hardware.php

Maybe someone who looks at the forum has a 360° lens or knows someone who uses one at work. Maybe a Real Estate Agent in Corfu has one and would film Arillas for a nominal fee.

I think you are like me Dimitris  with your love of gadgets and technology, but be careful on this one, as cheapness may not give quality.

Phil, I have really gone off you now!!!! Did you have to be so cruel to post this
QuoteThanks again for that gorgeous bourdetto last night
:-(

I have another 6 and a half weeks to wait

I have just visited the justcorfu.co.uk website
they added Arillas Street views too
Wonderfull!!!

A lady has been going around in Arillas  doing\g presentations about the street view and about places that are interested in to advertise their business on these street views.

She has not been to see me yet I would definitively be interested

We think this was taken on Sunday 20th June, sometime in the afternoon, at the start of "the weather blip".
Very strange to see our Bathmat on the line on our Balcony at the Bardis Sun Studios, Ourselves (Won't say Where!) and some friends on their beachbeds on the beach. Feels weird, we didn't even notice the photos being taken!
