Hi,Green Goddess. Just make new friends-enjoy good company, good food and sink a Mythos or two and Let Arillas suck you in. H ave a good time
Paul
Where are you staying Green Godess? We are over for a week 8th August at the Mathraki and yes like your good selves we are Arillas Virgins ( married 29 years and still virgins!) :)
Hi GG,
One of the things we like to do apart from everthying mentioned on the favourite things thread, is hire a boat for the day or 1/2 day. Take a picnic and just have a lazy day on the sea. (dont we do what we do did and take one out in choppy seas, unless you want a bruised bum! lol)

Greetings green goddess,
One thing you must try is an ice cold bottle of the Royal Ionian beer :)
Hi EEG
Tell me the difference between the Mythos and Royal Ionian then because I can tell you are an expert in these matters!! Give me a beer everytime "Cheers me dear" Nan
Hi Nan
Mythos is brewed in Greece and is a smooth lager and goes down a treat. Royal Ionian is also a lager but slightly sweeter and smoother and it is brewed in our favourite village: Arillas. :)
40 sleeps.... :D
ERja I didnt know that Royal Ionian was brewed in Arillas, will give it a try in september.

Barry,
As soon as they are issued I most definetly will try and get me the T-shirt, the baseball cap and the fridge magnet. The membership should be guaranteed with the amount of "beer tasting" I have done in Arillas. I am sure Phil will qualify easily :D
Thanks everyone - thats really helpful!!
Nan we are also staying at the Mathraki (sp??) from the 1st ... so we can sample the beers in advance for you - all in the name of science huh :o) ?? and give you the verdict!!!
GG

Looking forward to having the benefit of your advice on the beer front Green Goddess. It's good to know someone will have taken on the difficult task deciding which beer is best and where to drink it SUN or SHADE? It's hard work but someone's got to do it
Look forward to seeing you at the Mathraki pool side. Bring it on waheyy it's gonna be good
Nan x :)
Nan - request duly noted!!
We will defo be by the poolside - mostly reading and/or playing cards - see ya there!!
After a week of relaxing by the poolside and enjoying the company of Green Goddess and Ricky Julie Lee Jade Vanessa and James we are exhausted!! Was so good that the Mathraki ran out of Draught Ionian...had to resort to Amstel. Overdid the ouzo one night and paid for it the next day... one never learns. Wonderful time and hoping that it won't be our last visit. Thanks to you all hope all your delays were little ones
Cheers Nan and Barry x
Funny, isn't it Nan how you go the one of the quietest and rural places in Corfu and come back worn out and exhausted. Wishing you hadn't caught the flight, and not even sure if you really want to be "home." So many memories, so long to wait until next time....
That's us really.
Phi and Jen
Was fab (and very VERY relaxing) enjoyed meeting Nan, Barry, Vanessa, James, Jade, Julie and Lee - was such good fun in the pool.
Nan - it was a speshul day afterall - you were allowed to feel dodgy (at least u didnt have to do aqualand the next day!!!)
That's the point green goddess. If you want to holiday it has it all. But it is the people - both locals and holidaymakers who make it what it is. So glad y'all had a great time
