Arillas Today shuts down at 21 deg for 6pm. - WOTTASUPERDAY!!

These late visitors have planned it well but Rain is forecast for tomorrow.
Do They care - Nah! - They don't give a diddly!!

Places still open have the to spend with these "wise guys" as tis quiet. Tis always good to see.

The problem at Rainbow is Dimitris *Jimmy) has time to throw a few darts.
I will beat him soon. Lil Bugger!!

Jeff "wivvaJ" off tomorrow and has been super company. He even put up with me coughing and spluttering the last 2 weeks.

Tisall on wind down but still enough "white hire cars" to allow me for my "Lil Foorka" training.

Next Summer He will be on the Ball and the passenger door will work electronically to get those 3 abreast strollers.

Rainbow's last 2 customers left today so shutdown in motion. Unsure who is left open now so a little jaunt, tomorrow, along the seafront will be in order.

A little rain this morning and more expected Friday. Temp still hovers around 16deg.

Well Guys, Arillas Today remind me of Mid September!

Many places are still open and Arillas is still a busy 'ole place.
24 deg and warm at 16:30. Does anyone know it's mid October?

Marina Hotel is closed and the Pool Bar looks to follow suit tomorrow.

All other places continue to look very busy.

Cheers

Welcome to an October 22nd Arillas afternoon which spoils us with a sunny 25deg temp.
.
Where do all these cars come from??

and just a couple of "Die Hards" at Marina Pool Bar.
Rumour has it that they superglued the seats.
"It's closed guys!-are they too polite to tell you?"

Boss Dimi says he remains open until the 28th

and.... wottaboutdee beach?

.

It looks very much like Grazella is closed now but "Beach Kostas" and Thalassa plod on. A super Pizza at Yiannis is still available and Annasia never seems to close.
Coconut is closed now but George at Malibu is still there for those evening cocktails etc.
(Someone said he reminds them of Telly Savalas-Your thoughts please)

Armourada, I think is still open. They had a good Bar-B-Q night there on Sunday.

Apologies if I have missed anyone. (I did miss a hire car earlier. No apologies there!)

and.. Karl, I drank a very sad Ouzo at 13:45 today

Be Well All

I have just returned from a 23 deg Arillas Beach where my son, partner and Grandson are enjoying a super time. They keep going in the Sea??? WOTSALLTHATABOUT?
A deserted Beach and parking NOTTAPROB.
A beer from Ina's , sit on a bench.... SUITS.U.SIR!!
Then back to the Villa, refresh and nip into "Beach Kostas" for an early evening meal.
Vasillis , Kostas , is aware they are after Kalamari and Bifteki. He will look after them.

This time of year? - Take what the weather throws at you , overide it and enjoy.

Aw Eggy. I ve just seen about the Punto. Faithful little brave strong beastie. Funny how we can get emotional about cars. Ours is called Jess.
Hope you're enjoying the blue Ka and you cone to love  her like the Punto.
I see lightning and rain forecast for Arillas. Wish I was there. Are most tavernas shut now? Rainbow? Mo

Eggy

Hi Mo
My lil Forka is not my Punto but I am getting used to it.

Arillas has "Beach Costas" open from Wednesday to Sunday and Anastia open from Tuesday to Sunday.
That's it I'm afraid unless you sneak a beer in Armourada which is officially closed.
Most smaller Kafenios like to shut up shop by 14:30 which leaves Sidari or further afield.

Eggy, I have just seen pictures of Arillas beach, it looks wrecked, have you been to look? Some roads seem to have suffered also.☹️

Eggy

Billy D
Most of Corfu has suffered from last night's storm. Magoulades , Avliotes , Kavaddades and Karousades just some I know about. Most around here lost power from 4am to around 7pm.
Part of the Arillas road , near the "stream" has collapsed and parts of many steep banks have fallen on the roads including part of ours which blocked the whole of the drive.
Just over 2 hours shovelling for me this morning to clear it.

Kavaddades to Sidari road was blocked all morning due to a fallen tree and I am told Sidari was totally flooded.

Rainfall for November now sits at 210mm , 45mm of that overnight.

Happy Days!

How are things in Arillas now? I hear Sidari has been off grid for 2 days? Hope you've recovered from your shovelling but reckon you'll be aches and pains Eggy.
Sending our best wishes for sorting it all out and for the rain to stop x

Eggy

Hi Mo
I think I pulled a few muscles but I cleared 24 wheelbarrow loads of clay/soil/roots.

Arillas has taken a battering and , weather permitting , I will take a few local pics of any reminders what nature will do to us when we think we are in charge!!!

A couple of pics tomorrow showing the state of Arillas Sea Front and the work needed to start preparation for the Summer. - T'all takes time DONCHYERKNOW??

More rain expected overnight. - BUMMER!!!
