Arillas looks good on the wecam this morning.....and 18 degrees already.....
It really does look good Sandy, and because we stay at the Horizon and get that view every morning, it really makes you want to be there. Later on sitting on the deck with a Royal Ionian, looking out to sea and people watching along the road, listening to the sea .........ZZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
The drive to work was good today, cold but a lovely sunrise over misty fields.
It certainly is looking good today, Sandy! It makes us realise that we've not long to go until we're home amongst the lovely people and lovely warm (or hot) sun.
It's even sunny from my office (at home) window this morning - although I've still got the central heating on...

18 degrees! How wonderful, I can almost feel it!
Eileenx
(sigh.....)
*deep sigh* I wish...
Even deeper sigh......
Deep sighs all round :)
massive deepest sighs,,from all of us .yammas
And i thought we were doing well here with wall to wall sunshine and a whopping 7°C lol probably the best day of the year so far but looks a bit feeble compared to 18°c in Arillas that would feel like an heatwave if we copt that temperature at this time of year
Not to worry only 5½ months to go :-)
Tony
I couldn't resist this - especially as I sighed so much - so a bridge of sighs - sorry :-(

Webcam looking very inviting again this morning......sun shining, 17 degrees at 9.30am and the sea seems calm as a millpond. Wish I was going there rather than my office....
We're all with you on that, Sandy....!!! Can't wait (but will have to!)

It's warming up nicely now, should be about right in 2 months time. can't wait, hurry up May 24.
May 24th will be a corker of a day, anotherjohn - we'll have been there a week and will be nicely chilled....
Hope you meant chilled as in relaxed, Janis - Save some of the sun for us. See you there, get Jimmy to have a cold beer ready for me.
Whoopee! 7th. May ready or not. Past visits have shown Arillas is warming up nicely and I for one can't wait! 5th. visit this year! Think I get a promotion to 'Regular Visitor" as well!!!
Yammas,
Martin.

Janice, and another john. We might see you this time as we go 28th may. Cant wait.
Dont know whats going on with our computer tonight, but when i tried to post it said " error, server has gone away" !!! Has dimitri gone on hol again?!!
It sometimes does that....but it usually means it has posted first!
The weather is looking good in Arillas today, sunny & 20 degrees. Hope it stays like it for the next three weeks!! On the 15 day AccuWeather.com site it looks like it's going to take a dip over the Easter period, but then it just gets better & better each day. I might even come back home with a tan....finger's crossed.
Whatever the weather it will just be nice to get away to our favourite & most loved place.
Sara...x
Bon voyage Sara. Take our love and best wishes to all and sundry over there....

It looks like a beautiful day in Arillas today and I bet the sea is still warm.....Wish I was there.....sigh....
Ah Sandy luvver, you took the words out of my mouth. Like you, I would be in and out of the sea all day today. At least we are part of it and can have our dreams....

Count me in!
On a grey, dull danish sunday.
Connie x
Amazing....now why couldn't it have been like that when I was there in October?
Definitely a day for the beach.......
sandy so true,,,,,sigh
Sandy,
both June and September had changing weather this year in Corfu,
but it was still better than in England and Denmark, wasn't it?
Connie x
It says it's 27.4 degrees this morning. Is it true Eggy?
What are we all doing here?? Oh yes......work.....
I can just see myself taking a stroll up the donkey track in the sun to take in the views from Akrotiri right now as its a bitterly cold -4c here in Idle
Tony
I'm sure I've suggested it before, but why don't we get a chara.... ??
All forum members to descend on Arillas in the next couple of weeks - we'd have a ball - open or not!
Just had a message from Wendy....pouring with rain over there now....but still got to be better than here....
Cloudy in Arillas today, but it still 21 degrees. I've just read that November in Greece had record breaking temperatures & the warm conditions should last up until Christmas .... sub zero temperatures & snow here - what's going on?

Wish I was there!!
My son Kevin was supposed to fly out from Prague
today, but has posponed his trip because of the weather.
Loads and loads of snow in Denmark, Copenhagen Airport
was closed for several hours yesterday morning, and a new
snowstorm is expected tomorrow.
Connie x
A beautiful day in Arillas, 16.6 degrees and sunshine, after a night of high winds and storms here I can't stop looking at the web cam.
Val
Wish I was there....could just do with a walk along the beach.....
The winds have blown all the leaves off our palm trees, which suffered badly in the snow. The sky is grey, I'm on the wagon with antibiotics for an ear infection, and it is cold. Oh boy could I do with a slow walk along the beach, then a lovely hot meal in Armourada. Sandy and Val, thanks for a short daydream before I have to go grocery shopping at Morrisons Aaaaaargh!!!!
Phil.
Hi Phil,
Oh, how I feel for you!
You seem to be even more miserable than me,
just having a bit of a cold, but the sky is grey and
it was extremely windy over here last night as well.
I wish I was in Corfu too and can't wait !!
Best wishes to you and Jen.
Connie xx
Oh Phil you poor thing, get well soon, no booze and in pain, horrible weather and having to go shopping. I am sure Jen will mollycoddle you for few days and you will soon be back to normal.
Val
I know where I'd prefer to be, too!
Phil, I hope your ear gets better soon, being on the wagon is no fun, is it? ;)
Love,
lynn xx
QuoteI'm on the wagon
Well there's four words I thought I would never see.
Never mind Phil I'm sure you will make up for it when the Infection gets better
Another lovely looking day in paradise.....
Lovely sunshine and 16.5 degrees, if I close my eyes and stretch my imagination I can smell the sea and hear the waves.
Val x
Our back wall has been blown down after being there for 20 odd yrs. Whats worse its sheared down our olive tree. My mate next door thought I had gone barmy when I almost got blown of my feet trying to get the stone off it.
I think it's gone for ever but will keep whats left of the trunk in the ground just incase. I just want to be walking through the olive groves ,down onto the beach, have a swim and then go to dinner in our favourite place in the world. Vivxx
I'm sorry you've lost your tree Viv....but don't give up on it. These trees are very hardy. I have several olive trees at Kouklospito and sometimes they look half dead....but the next year they spring back to life. So you may be surpised....
Me give up, no way. Peaple might wonder in another 20yrs why ive got a stick in the ground but there again they might just be admiring our olive tree.lol. Vivxx
I bet you a glass of retsina you'll have shoots sprouting off it by next year Viv.....
I justlove watching the forum tiller-girls sharing their worries about their olive trees. Can never forget yous five in the photograph.
So sorry about your beloved olive tree dearest viv luvver. Like us, yous two will somehow spend your days there in spite of INR or TTG (The Tory Government) or SBI (Stupid B***dy Idiots.) Arilliacs all. We KNOW what it means.
love to both from both
Phil
I have a little video taken of us all at the same day, but would have to get permission from all corcrned to post it. I know Sandy & Ally wouldn,t mind but havent heard from Alex, Suzzanne for quite a while (O Dear forgotten who else was a tiller with us ) will have to take a look, anyway I cant post it without asking and all those years ago I felt a bit silly anyway, but now relish the experirance, dont suppose it's something many people have done. lol. Viv xx
Woop's Sandy, forgot to say Hope you are right but I will take you up on the bet and just maybe make it a bottle instead of a glass. Lets go crazy. Viv xx
Hi Viv,
Sorry to hear about your Olive Tree. The same thing happened to me. I arrived home after a holiday in Arillas to discover the dividing wall between me and next door had been blown over in a gale and flattened my Olive Tree and the rubble half filled my Coy Carp pond killing 2 of my 6 large fish. The Olive was reduced to about 12 inches from 4 ft. I just trimmed it about an inch below the breaks in the stems, now its at least 5 ft. and doing well. This last season, I had a few olives ripen, don't give up, I'm sure yours will pull through!
Martin xx

im sure as martin said ,,a little bit of love and attention ,itll grow back with vengance ,,,,,xxx
