Thanks Terry. My husband enjoyed a couple of Zots and did thoroughly enjoy them. I drank beer also for the first time and loved it.  I had a cherry one and a raspberry one and loved the beer wall and the pub there and Suzy, I also has to visit a few chocolate shops. It was hard but managed it. Lol. Had a hot chocolate from one which was made with real chocolate.  Sorry I have well and truly hijacked this thread. Back to the important issue of Euros.

Glad you had a great time in Bruges, Sonia. Now back to the important issue of Euros....the rate seems to be getting slowly better so maybe we will get between 1.30 to 1.35? Fingers crossed.

Now back to to Bruges :-). Did you go to the cathedral, Sonia? I thought it was amazing  but I always think of this clip from the Bruges movie - so funny but some bad language :-(

Yes spent up Val plus Euros we already had left from last year.

Terry - yes got to the cathedral and there was a wedding on. Amazing building. Cost me 50 cents for the loo there though . I loved the beer wall. Had gorgeous mussels in a place called moules poules. Not the cheapest or more obvious of places to eat but I researched and found details of it before we went and definitely would recommend it.

I've just bitten the bullet and got my currency now. At least I'll know that I'll have enough  to spend as I'm not planning on using it anywhere else !!

Hi all, can anyone tell us what the exchange rate is in Arillas at the moment? I'm undecided whether to buy euros over here (1.24 at the moment) or to bring sterling and change it over there. Any replies appreciated.
Regards
Andy and Claire.
