Afternoon everyone. My family and I are coming to Arillas for the first time. As a keen road and mountain biker I was wondering if there is anywhere to hire good quality road and mountain bikes?

Thank you in advance.

Pegasus scooter and cycle hire in nearby San Stefanos are good.

I have hired a few cycles in the past in Greece (Never in Corfu in fairness) and none of them have been good quality but you never know you may drop on a good one .......
Good luck :-)

Arkokal Travel based in the centre of Arillas has bikes for hire... http://arkokal.gr/rent_a_bike.html

Take a look at S-Bikes in Acharavi for ideas of routes/tours, even a broad range of bikes for hire which can be delivered to your accommodation... http://www.corfumountainbikes.com/

Enjoy :-)

Welcome to the forum Jules. You and your family are heading for paradise. If you've any other queries there'll always be someone to help. We're a helpful lot on here because we like nothing better (second to actually being there) than to talk about Arillas. Whereabouts are you staying?..... Oh, and we're nosy too!

I've visited arrilas about ten times or so and have hired a bike each time from Pegasus cycles in San Stefanos. It's situated underneath the Condor bar.
The bikes are about 5 euros a day and good enough to do rides of 50 miles or so around the island.
If you ask Nicos (the owner) nicely, he may let you take a bike away at around 5.00 p.m. and return it the following day before 5.00 p.m. Try to get the majority of your miles in before mid-day.

I've never seen a road bike for hire in all the time I've been visiting Corfu.

I've toured the central and northern areas of the island extensively by bike over the years, so if you need any route recommendations please ask.

Be aware that you are unlikely to find many flat areas on the island, except for the Ropa plain.
The views from the mountain tops however are fantastic.

As I say my experiences have all been from other Greek islands so if the people here say they are good bikes , they are good bikes......
Talking of which I have just this minute had to pay out £120 to get mine repaired  :-(
