Hi, I'm new to the forum and keep seeing remarks such as 'more beach in the south today' or 'no beach today'.  I was looking forwarding to chilling on the beach and paddling in the sea so will I be disappointed?
Thank you, Amanda

Arillas has a beautiful beach, it's just that the size can vary from day to day, but it is always long.
Some days it can be quite narrow but with still enough room for plenty of sun worshippers......other days when the breeze is in another direction it is wide.

The one thing that is consistent is its beauty, in fact the whole bay is gorgeous.

Hi,

I have just returned from Arillas and there beach basically is huge north of the Jetty with no or very little shingle shelving gently into the lovely warm water... Missing my daily dip now lol...

South of the Jetty, less sand and more shingle, but you will find plenty of beach..

Hi Martin - not sure whether I'm a "soft southerner" but have sensitive feet!  Will I need my water shoes this year, i.e. is it very shingly?  Thanks.

Didn't realise you were back - hope you had a great time.  We need a trip report!

Thanks Martin & Val.  Can't wait to dip my toes in the lovely warm aegean (or is it the med?).  Not long to go now.

Hi Daisy,

If you stay north of the Jetty, your feet will feel nothing but warm soft sand, so no shoes needed... just enjoy!!

Now then a report... ermmm where to start lol.!!

Hi Moly1 - it's the Ionian Sea, the Aegean Sea is the one on the other side of the Greek mainland.
But it is lovely and warm, so your toes are in for a real treat!

Hi Daisy,

One thing, if the sand is dry, depending on the time of day it can get very hot! It will be soft but may burn slightly if your not careful. I would suggest taking flip flops when getting on and off the beach, if it damp or by the sun beds it will be fine though..

And no, our new Arilliac (Rachel) was no where to be seen, but probably crossed paths without realising it.. Lol
