For the non-Facebookers on our forum, there is wonderful news that our own Yiota Karidi (of shop fame) is a granny as of today.

Our warmest congratulations to a lovely lady, and to the new mother and her child.

Hi, don't often post on the the forum, (although we are avid readers) but just felt that this news deserved a note to say congratulations to Yiota and family on such a great occasion. We are sure that Yiota will be a wonderful grandmother, especially after watching the warmth and affection she showed to our own little grandson, a couple of weeks ago. Yiota is one lovely lady.

(Thanks Phil for posting this. Although we were aware the birth was imminent, I don't think we would have known until our next visit next year as we are not on facebook. Phil, I think we did meet once a couple of years ago in the Coconut. As I recall, it was the day you lost your shorts on the north beach and had to borrow some to get home. Always enjoy your posts and share your passion for a beautiful part of the world.  Thanks again.)

Hello again Carol and Nigel.

Oh No! I thought that had been forgotten! I was eternally grateful to the chap you gave me something to cover me up. I had visions of having to walk to Kaloudis wearing nothing but an abandoned beach bat in front and a hand behind. I will NEVER be separated from a pair of shorts again, or forgive whoever stole them.

I remember meeting you in the Nut, with me in Jen's lilac shorts. Our passion for the "beautiful place" is undiminished. In fact it grows as every year passes. We will be there in a couple of weeks time, and it really won't matter if I lose my shorts then, because we will have the beach to ourselves.

Thanks for your post.
Phil
