Wife and I will be back in good ole Arillas in two weeks time.  Is the ATM still up and running ok?

3 or 4 years back we turned up with not much cash, expecting to use my card when needed but the ATM had been removed.  We hiked across to San Stef only to find the ATM there out of order.

Change of subject:  England out so go Greece in the footy!

welcome back  jaycee_rocker,

ATM is working  and have not heard of any complaints about it until now....
It is situated at the Arkokal Travel  on the Junction before you get to the beach,

See you soon,

Dimitris

ATM IN SAN STEFANOS NOT WORKING
SIDARI NEAREST PLACE

DON'T GET CAUGHT OUT......YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED

Carol and Nigel

Thanks John for letting everyone know. We arrive tomorrow so this sort of info is very useful.  Hopefully we won't need an ATM  but we've said that before and then had to use it!!. Just phoned our friends who are also travelling tomorrow to warn them too. The warning is much appreciated and thank you for your daily updates which have added to our anticipation of our first two weeks in "Heaven" this year.  Regards. Nigel and Carol.

Apologies if I have missed this, but is there now a pharmacy in arillas?  Last year we had to get a lift to Avliotes to get some eye drops.

Hi Martin.

There isn't a pharmacy in Arillas, there was one but it closed down. The previous posts mentioning the pharmacy are from a couple of years ago. So, yes, Avliotes still has the nearest pharmacy. I had to go there in 2012 when I got a tooth abscess and needed antibiotics, the pharmacist at the time was smoking behind the counter .... I personally didn't mind, but can you imagine that happening here?!

I always take eye drops with me as for some reason they always seem to sting on holiday. Must be the sun cream and chlorine from the pool.

Eggy

Maybe I should take eye drops with me when I go to the Arillas ATM. If I think it's not working....................?

Oh No!!!! - I cannot believe my eyes!! A few squirts and "presto" - I ask for 100 and it gives me 500. - The magic of Arillas  (and eye drops)

Just a jest , Sonia, as this ATM is a pain to all concerned.

I have just driven to Sidari to get some euros , so yes, it is very inconvenient.

But.... if you need a pharmacy as well, then kill two birds with one stone. (There seems to be more Pharmacies than ATM's in Sidari - Priorities I 'spose)

I know what you mean Negg. I went a bit off topic there!

Eggy

"Off Topic" means diddly  ,really , Sonia.-  All conversations / Topics do that. - Part of the info process and fun , maybe?

Just bring the eye drops and I will borrow to see if It improves my darts! (In my eyes and not squirted at my opponent!)

Be well

The Arillas ATM is now working.

Yep, it is - i used it yesterday. They filled it on Monday didn't they?! That's when the 'out of order' sign was removed anyway.

With the current hulaballo and the UK media's bad news is good news syndrome, is anyone having problems withdrawing money from the ATM?  Well organised with a pre loaded travel card am now wondering wether to take extra in currency.  Any advice would be welcome
