You see, we were right. You can have anything you want here. I manage that in an area of 400 square metres, though I occasionally venture a bit further.

Another satisfied Arilliac. It is beautiful, and they might believe you....

Ah Hannah, sooo glad you love it already!! Please try and post some snippets of your holiday and please ask anything you need to know but most of all relax!

HH

Phew! Have finally plucked up the courage to join the forum ...

We are visiting Arillas in late August and it will be our ninth time. This year we are treating ourselves to three whole weeks of relaxation. We think Arillas is perfect.

Last week I bought a new map of Corfu (old one falling to pieces) and as we sat in a cafe, sheltering from the British rain, a lady approached asking where we were going to in Corfu. I have to admit I gave a very vague answer. I want to keep Arillas as it is and dread the thought of it becoming too commercialised. Continuing our chat convinced me she was the "Arillas type" and I finally told her about this forum. She dashed out into the rain saying, "I'm off to have a look at the site." Wonder if she booked?

If it is my fault you needed courage to join us all, please let me know. I will need many more nudges to stop promoting our place, you included, but I keep a list......

I have been censored this week from calling it PERFECT. Not by the forum, but by my Jen, my better half, because it will bore people. I bore for Greece. But on the way I have made many friends on here and in Arillas itself. I used to think we were all boring, until I met them. Now I'm certain of it!!!

But being boring and knowing what really works seem to go together. This year will be 40 years of marriage for Jen and me. And I've only been coming to Arillas for ten. If I feel like this about Arillas, you can imagine how much I love her.

Ah HH, please don't say we are THAT scary!! Welcome aboard and what TOOK you so long?! 8 years eh, that's a lot of info you need to impart!! Detaillls please!!! Xx

HH

Hello Jo, no you're not scary at all, in fact I've been reading the forum for so long, I feel I already know all the members.
The first year we came to Arillas we stayed with Anna and her family, the second year we stayed at Anna's ... and the third, fourth ,fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth year ... guess where we are staying this year?
Now we are no longer tied to school holiday periods, we decided to arrive late August and I'm sure the weather will be just as good as it has been in the July of previous years. Normally we would now be in Arillas and I'm itching to be there!

Phil is a bit difficult. Please tell me if I have upset you. I have been looking for an excuse for years. But every time I try, I end up talking to all of these lovely people because they love me and I love them. So I keep posting on here.

And as for forum and as for fame, I never invited them in but it seems to the world it was all I desired. Well there's a reason. It is because Arillas is my world.

Phil in worry mode.

Totally agree Arillas is beautiful.  Only been back after 1st visit one week and already booked for next year!  Met some lovely people including John the Ref and Dot and had fantastic meals especially loved Vavilas.
Always look forward to Phil's reports - they are so lovely.
Came back totally chilled but can't wait to go back.

Hope you are out of "Worry Mode" now Phil. Don't panic mate, I got your reference - Argentina won't cry for you, and the only tears that I will cry for you are because I'm a softy and thought your reference to how much you love your Jen was very touching.
Glad you're having a great time "back home"
Home is where the heart is - CORFU :-)

See Phil everyone suffers from hay fever in Arillas, not just you and me.
