How to pronounce Arillas

Hi all.  After a remarkably uninspiring week on the Costa Del Sol (not our choice i might add) my daughter and I have vowed never again and have booked two weeks in Arillas next summer.  The choice came about following the success of our fortnight in Kassioppi last year combined with a preference for sand rather than pebbles.  Only one problem - can someone please provide me with the correct pronunciation of Arillas; is it a y in place of the double l for instance (as in Spanish)?

Anyway, your advice will be greatly appreciated.  I cannot begin to tell you how much we are looking forward to next year now, it really does look so laid back and tranquil, relaxing and peaceful.

In my book it is Arilla, maybe without the "s" but not Ariya. But nobody cares. A wise choice made by yous. It is all of those things.

Welcome to paradise Angela, many locals seem to pronounce it ......
A-real-as, but most people just say it as it's spelt.
To all the return visitors it's 'home'.  You will adore this little village if you like peace and tranquility, good food, music loud or quiet, a beautiful beach, but most of all a wonderful welcome from the most genuine hosts you will ever meet on your travels.
Where are you thinking of staying when you come?
