Well it's still there today, 7th May. Have spent many hours waiting for Gravia to move, watching from my Mythos glass and plates of mezes in Graziella, but I wouldn't want it to burn down.... lol

This morning the w e b cam (macbew to Tony) was facing towards the south end and lovely it looked. Spent ages watching and wishing I were there.

Just now it is facing north, and beyond the jetty (unless that has burned down too! Where would the bench go then??????) It is great to see people, one or two even paddling in the sea, and the cars moving about.

I'm intrigued though. Does Dimitris have to go up on the roof at Horizon and shift the cam, or is it automated? Wonderful that the angle is changed every now and then. So much more to dream about.

Lots of people around today. All seeming unconcerned about anything so I guess I was wrong. Viv

Perhaps someone has got shipwrecked on the far side of Gravia.

They have found drift wood and lit a fire in the hope of being spotted by a passing cruise ship.

Unfortunately they have failed to take a look around and will never know about the joys and pleasure they could have just a short distance away in Arillas.

You never know one of the locals may be passing on a FRIDAY?..... Guess you know the rest of the story.

Oh no, don't you lot start getting paranoid, everything will be fine!!
There was a Tsunami many, many years ago north of Crete after a vulcano which
caused the creation of the Island Santorini. Well, at least that's what history says.

The Earth is a living, moving, vibrant place, constantly changing.
Last year there was a vulcano in Iceland that worried all of us, because of the ashes that prevented planes to fly. But in the end we all managed to arrieve. Some people were stuck in Corfu for a while, but rather be stuck there than anywhere else in the world, eh?

Wishing everyone very, very happy holidays, full of joy and relaxation.

I didn't see any smoke on Gravia and was looking at it every day. However, there were a few bonfires about in the village.....
