May 1st. Start of the season

Just looked at the forecast for next week, the opening of season in Arillas.

It starts good and ends good. A few clouds, but temperatures reaching 80F by Friday. Sunshine all the way. Risk of rain negligible. Why do I wish Jen and Phil were Maggie and Gordon just now???

It is tipping down here. Grey, miserable and wet. And tomorrow I've got to climb a ladder and mend the gutters. I should be walking along Arillas beach....

Keeping my fingers crossed that it's fine in two weeks time as we fly out on 7th, ash clouds permitting.  Can't believe it but it's warmer here at the moment than in Arillas.  The temperature on our patio in the shade at the moment is 30 degrees!  It won't last!
