Arillas Nudist beach 5th may 2009.
The sand is coming slowly back and the beach is recovering from the winter.
the access from the main beach is not looking good yet but the north west wind has been working on it for the last three days

Lovely, lovely picture Dimitris :-)
I'm sure Mother Nature will do her level best to restore access again :-)

What a beautiful picture, Dimitris! and good old North West wind - keep on working hard for us!

Thanks for posting the photo Dimitris.

I'm hoping that you have been in a plane again and you have taken more aerial photographs of Arillas and surrounding area.

Another great photo.  Who knows, perhaps in 4 weeks time, the beach will have a lot more sand?  If not, then it won`t make any difference to our enjoyment of it.

Well the beach was fine when we were there - got about knee high wading around the rocks to get there, but that has to be preferable to following the path and then climbing down. We saw a few people trying this and wondered if they realised that the "cliff" is basically just layers of mud that shales off at the least provocation! I wouldn't want to lie too close to the cliff either having seen some of the falls. we actually walked past one pile that had a pair of sandals next to it. I still worry that someone is missing!

Talking of mud, we had great fun plastering ourselves in it. I'm not really convinced about the therapeutic value of covering yourself in grey green gunk but it's just such fun :-) :-) :-)
