Ryan Air have said that you can now use your mobile while aboard their planes. Cost up to £3 per min (money making exersice)I hope this price puts people of, the the thought of trying to relax and just thinking of Arillas being disturbed by dozens of people shouting down their phones is enough to make me scream. I agree with you Viv, the thought of sitting on a plane with someone close by shouting into their phone, why do people always shout at their mobile? It makes me shudder!!

Hear Hear both. Perhaps it will also be 3 quid for a pair of earplugs.....

Aaaaargh!

Well if I really needed another reason not to fly Ryanair, they've just given me one!
If people are going to be as much of a pain on flights as they are on trains...........

Quite agree, Viv and Paul, I only like mobiles up to a point!  Yesterday we were coming home from the Boat and Leisure Show in Birmingham, and someone had the bagpipes playing constantly on theirs!

LOL Phil, perhaps if Ryanair are going to allow mobiles on planes, the ear plugs should be free!!

You couldn't be more right ColinD. I shudder to think of the rise in air rage incidents which will surely follow. Can you imagine being stuck next to some idiot who is bellowing "I AM ON THE PLANE" into their mobile!  It should be £30 a minute never mind £3!! Screamin with you Viv

I didnt think you could use mobile phones on planes for safety reasons... affecting all their equipment etc... didnt ever think it was for money reasons..  how comes its ok for one airline and not for others then... perhaps ryanair dont have any hi-tec equipment, my dad says they have rubber bands to wind them up anyway!  :-)
If you want the rainbow, you gotta put up with the rain.

Ha ha Sue, your dad may be right!  :D  Another reason not to fly Ryanair, maybe?

lol BG - ryanair works on elastic bands. Irish to the core. And I know - I am nearly all Irish, and my core is made like that. The Greek EasyJet approach works better. Sorry folks for the controversy

I can imagine the stewardess on her phone right now:

Shouting:-
" The pilots just told me the left engines packed up and the right will only last 5 minutes "

" We've decided to keep it quiet so not to cause a panic! "

" Just keep my dinner in the oven - I may be late home ! "

Im as bemused as Sue, as I always thought it was for safety reasons, mind you I thought that about hospitals untell I was in there and the nurses told me not to worry about it just not to make to much noise, maybe they just didnt want me to shout. Viv
