It reminded of how far we walked...I cant believe we walked all that way., we even took the road that comes in from the left as well this year ... I love Afionas and thats a great photo!

Hi, Marika. The photo is fabulous.  I`ve just made up my mind to see if I can get to the far end of the headland.  Has anybody else done it?   The views from the village have got to be some of the best I`ve seen.

I presume you mean the VERY end (beyond the 2 bays). Let's call it the 'small headland'.

Although I have not tried for 2 or 3 years I have previously tried several times with no success due to the thick thorny bushes which have closed up to form a real barrier so that any paths have long since disappeared.

Have you been as far as the tiny church which is buried in the hillside bushes?

From Google Maps that looks as though you are almost at the end when you reach this place but the surrounding bushes are thick and tall. It would need a concerted effort with a machete to go further. Maybe it is best if those areas are left undisturbed for nature to have exclusive use of.
