I forgot to mention Negg, i am getting a bit (lot) disheartened by this game, due to the fact i keep getting thrashed. The more i try the worse i seem to get. lol......

Eileen luvver, have pm'd, and Neill it's a great idea. As you know we usually sit disrupting the game and putting darts in our hands might be a very irresponsible thing to do....

Perhaps the Arillas Booby (boozy) League? I can recommend several candidates for that one...

Jen and me totally support the league, and will be proud to contribute in any way we can.

OWL ON TOP OF THE TREE (W's)

Night Owl's 8 game to 5 Home win over Three W's now puts them into top with 28 points. Three W's who have lost the last 3 matches hang on to second with 26 points and their next weeks game against Armourada will be interesting as Armourada are poised on 24 points.

The "Owl" pairs combi of Paul and Dimitris still hold their unbeaten record, this time at the expense of Neill and Paul who lost their 100% record.
With the scoreline at 6-5 to the Owl Dimitris then paired up with Nickos to meet Neill and Xrisanthos. At 1 leg each, both pairs on a double, Nickos only needed the one dart at double 12 to win the match for his team. The Owl then score the final result to 8-5 by taking the triples.

Armourada and Three W's will both be after at least 9 points next week to keep the pressure on Night Owl.

Negg this league seems like it could go to the wire. Thats if you all don't keep hitting hit that is. All seems like good fun. Wish i was part of it.

I admit that the game got to me a little on Tuesday as my darts bounced of of treble 19 five times and treble 20 twice. And.... the 3 x20's I managed to hit all laid just above the top wire.
..... And I missed diouble tops to win our pairs
..... And I never got a shot at double 17 as Nickos plopped his double 12.
Darters excuses - Don't you just love 'em?

Anyway..
We have a nice cash donation from you and Phil n Jen and Eileen plus a possible other two pledges.The idea is to buy a perpetual sheild which stays in the winning teams Taverna until played for again. Were a third of the way there and everything helps.
A framed award certificate will stay in the winning Taverna for all time and will have the sponsors names on it. - Hope I can mention names at presentation.

Any more sponsors? please feel free to donate.

Darts is now finding quite a bit of interest here in the younger up n coming players.

Alexandra @ Rainbow last year showed a very good talent for the game and now we have Petros and Spiros ( Sons of Linda and Nickos , Night Owl ) who also have a special knack and love for the game. These kids can give all a run for your money!

Talk is that very soon we'll have a Saturday morning session when a few of us "adults" we'll be at Night owl to teach the young uns all we know of the game.
( And how to get it right more times than we can )

And................. I forgot the lady players.

A mention for Ann and Linda who played for Night Owl on Tuesday.

Linda( Night Owl) is getting her darts together very well now and Bob's 40 he had left was thanks to her hitting 135 to leave it!

Ann put in many scores of 60+ which put a smile on Spiros's ( Ex Rainbow) face.
It's good to get a smile from Spiros and it was even bigger when they won 2-1.

Go's to show we're all having a bloody good time. Win or Lose.
